Introduction

Nightly we dream several dreams that are marviously accurate representations of ones life.

Most are forgotten. Few can make use of dreams that are recalled.

We slip in and out of common fantasies. Words, phrases and images flit through our head as we go about the days work. Most of it is lost.

All religions encourage their followers to lead a healthy life style. The word “health” is related to the words “whole”, “hale” and “holy”. In the Judaic tradition, there was no division between body, mind, soul or spirit.

A human being was considered a whole, a unit, not to be divided in better or worse, good or evil parts. To be healthy meant to be pure physically and morally, and to stay healthy was considered a religious command.

“The neglect of one’s health was regarded as a sin.”

Jesus came out of this tradition.

For him every person was a whole as well.

When someone approached him, he dealt with him or her as one:

“Nowhere in the New Testament does it say Christ came to save souls; he came to save human beings — body and soul.”

There are more accounts of Jesus healing the physical body than Jesus forgiving sins.

The Spiritual Fall and the Physical Fall

Physical self

God created human beings with two components: the spiritual self and the physical self. The human Fall likewise took place in two dimensions: the spiritual and the physical.

Satan is constantly accusing all people before God, as he did Job, in order to drag them into hell. 51(Job 1:9-11)CEV|KJ|NI

However, even Satan cannot perpetrate his evil activity unless he first finds an object partner with whom he can form a common base and engage in give and receive action.

Satan’s object partners are evil spirits in the spirit world.

The object partners to these evil spirits are the spirit selves of evil people on the earth, and the vehicles through which these evil spirit selves act are their physical selves.

Accordingly, the power of Satan is conveyed through evil spirits and is manifested in the activities of earthly people

The Works of Good Spirits and Evil Spirits

We use “good spirits” as a general term for God, spirits on the side of God, and good angels.

The general term for Satan and spirits on his side is “evil spirits.”

The works of good spirits and evil spirits, as in the case of good and evil acts generally, have a similar appearance at the outset but pursue contrary purposes.

Over time, the works of a good spirit will increase a person’s sense of peace and righteousness and even improve his health.

The works of evil spirits, on the contrary, will gradually lead to an increase of anxiety, fear and selfishness and cause his health to deteriorate. (ultimately death)

It may be difficult for someone who does not know the Principle to discern the works of spirits, but eventually, often belatedly, he will recognize the nature of the spirits by the fruits they bear.

Since a fallen person stands in the midway position between God and Satan and relates with both of them, the works of a good spirit may be accompanied by the subtle influences of an evil spirit.

In other cases, phenomena which begin as the works of evil spirits may, as time passes, merge with the works of good spirits.

Discerning the spirits is thus very difficult for those who do not understand the Principle

In the present era, spiritual phenomena are becoming ever more prevalent.

Unless religious leaders can correctly distinguish the works of good spirits from the works of evil spirits, they cannot properly instruct and guide those who experience spiritual phenomena.

William Branham 1909-1965

An American Christian minister, usually credited with founding the post World War II Divine Healing Movement.

During a 1933 baptismal service at the Ohio River at Jeffersonville, Indiana, a 1933 SUPERNATURAL BEING appeared before hundreds of people saying to him, “As John the Baptist foreran the first coming of Christ, you will forerun His second Coming.”

This picture is displayed today at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

William Branham USA had been hearing voices since he was seven years old. Finally, in May of 1946, Branham was commissioned by an angel from God 1946 to be the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ.

One of the more radical beliefs of the group is that of Serpent Seed which states that the first sin committed occurred when Eve engaged in sexual activities with the Serpent in the Garden of Eden thus causing “the fall of man.”

A year later Ewha University returned to its old campus in Seoul and I moved along with it. I remained ill and worsened to the point where I thought I was to die.

After a few days, a woman came and told me that the Lord of the Second Advent had appeared in Korea and that I should study the new truth that he brought. I laughed. This was so shocking!

On the third day I was completely healed of my lingering illness. The night before my healing, the inner voice of God had spoken again: “It was I who led you to Jesus. It was I who led you to Swedenborg; it was I who led you here”.

1. The Foundation of Faith requires a central figure, a conditional offering, and a time period.

The patient stands in the position of central figure, and in doing so must take the responsibility to fulfill those conditions necessary to bring about the desired results.

In making a conditional offering we offer our minds, bodies, and material belongings.

The proper attitude of mind is of essential importance to the restoration of health.

2. Indemnity is an important factor involved in healing — and we do have to pay indemnity; there is no escaping it!

Often this aspect of the healing process is misunderstood, Indemnity is necessary because original sin, ancestral sin, group or collective sin, or individual sinful actions which have been done against others or the Principle must be restored.

Sin here means unprincipled actions and separation from God.

3. Along with the Foundation of Faith, we need the Foundation of Substance.

For this we need Abel and Cain. The purpose of the Abel-Cain relationship is to reverse the four points of fallen nature and remove it, and to allow the Spirit of God to work within and between the two individuals.

Here the doctor or therapist is in the Abel position, and the patient is in the Cain position.

borrowing from the voices themselves, called the higher and the lower order.

Lower order voices are as though one is dealing with drunken bums at a bar who like to tease and torment just for the fun of it.

They will suggest lewd acts and then scold the patient for considering them. They find a weak point of conscience and work on it interteasing him for three years over a ten-cent debt he had already paid.

A discovery four years ago helped me to get a relatively rich and consistent picture of the patients’ experience. Though I noticed similarities with Swedenborg’s description of the relationships of man to spirits it was only three years after all the major findings on hallucinations had been made that the striking similarity between what Twentieth-Century patients describe and Swedenborg’s Eighteenth-Century accounts became apparent to me. There have of course been cases of instantaneous healing, but if you study these cases more deeply you see that these individuals had already paid much indemnity by going to many doctors or therapists, spending thousands of dollars, and going through all kinds of mental, emotional, and spiritual agonies before they found the one who cured them “instantly.”

One point I would like to stress is that we do have the responsibility to try to get well, and to keep trying. The fact that we have to pay indemnity does not mean that we should not exercise our God-given portion of responsibility; rather, responsibility is an integral part of paying indemnity.

But we are working on many levels at once.

Most people consider good health to be their most valuable asset.

But, as we are involved in the process of family, nation, and world restoration, our individual course of action should not center on this point only.

While it is usually good to try to get well whenever possible, living a life of suffering or even dying for the sake of humanity and God’s will is not evil or wrong.

Father’s formula has three steps.

The first step is repentance, enabling me to separate from Satan.

Divine Principle as a model of health

The core teachings of DP, upon which Unification Thought (UT), the teachings/philosophy of SMM systematized by Dr. Sang Hun Lee is based, are:

The Principle of Creation, God’s ideal The Fall Restoration

The ideal of the three blessings and a Cheon Il Guk made up of individuals who have fulfilled them, is a basic pillar of the Principle of Creation.

“Mind-body unity” must be achieved by developing and maturing the three core functions of the mind; intellect, emotion and will, if one is to fulfill the first blessing.

But in mental illness one or all of these three parameters are disrupted.

Comment: He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” Jesus divinity was so strong his holy Word could Resurrect the dead boys body back to Physical life!

Jesus himself now had to take on John’s mission and restore through indemnity the foundation of faith (40 day fasting) in order to set out on the second worldwide course to restore Canaan.

When Jesus fasted for forty days in the wilderness, it was to separate Satan for the very purpose of restoring the foundation of faith; however, for this he lowered himself to assume the position of John the Baptist.

ROOT OF EVIL — IMMORAL SEX There is ample evidence today that the root of evil, the Fall, was an immoral sexual relationship.

God created the sexual act of love as the most precious, holy and exciting expression of love in our lives.

Yet throughout history the act of love has often been regarded as lowly and made a joke of.

The Bible teaches us that although it is necessary for man to multiply, for those who can, it is best to be celibate (live single).

This was to be an indemnity payment for the Fall and implies that marriage has not had the complete sanction of God.

The Bible emphasizes not getting married.

In First Corinthians 7:38 we read, “So that he who marries his betrothed does well; but he who refrains from marriage will do better.” Celibacy is encouraged because God’s ideal was lost due to the misuse of love.

How we can see that the Root of Human Fall is Spiritual:

In the Holy City of Jerusalem there is an eastern gate long since sealed and blocked. It will never be opened until the new teacher comes.
