Introduction

What is the meaning of only begotten in regard to Jesus, True Parents and Divine Principle

The phrase “only begotten Son” occurs in John 3:16, which reads in the King James Version as, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The phrase “only begotten” translates the Greek word monogenes. This word is variously translated into English as “only,” “one and only,” and “only begotten.

The words Only begotten daughter is lacking in the Bible.

The closest reference we can find is in Rev. 16:9 Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

The Principle;

The human Fall, in essence, severed our relationship with God. Rather than attaining oneness with God, our ancestors joined in a reciprocal relationship with Satan, thereby becoming one with him.

Jesus was the only begotten Son of God; he attained oneness with God through perfect give and receive action.

When we unite with Jesus in a perfect reciprocal relationship, we can recover our original God-given nature. We can cultivate a give and receive relationship with God and become one with Him.

This is how Jesus serves as the mediator for fallen people; he is our way, truth and life. /Divine Principle v96

Jesus, who came as God’s only begotten Son and the Lord of Glory, was not meant to walk a path of suffering. (I Cor. 2:8) Rather, it was for John the Baptist, born with the mission to make straight the way of Jesus, (John 1:23) (Luke 1:76) to go through tribulations.

However, because John did not complete his responsibility, Jesus had to undergo suffering in John’s place. Jesus enjoined Peter not to reveal to the Jewish people that he was the Messiah (Matt. 16:20) because, although he was the Messiah, he had assumed John’s role for the purpose of beginning this phase of the providence.

I (Sun Myung Moon) married Choi Sun-gil (May 4 1944) in accordance with Heaven’s will.

I did not marry her just of my own free will. I received the command from the spirit world. She was also following instructions from the spirit world when she met me.

The meaning of the Chinese character For choi is “high.” Sun means “first,” and gil means “happy.”

Her name meant she was to be the first person to be happy. She was to be the first happy woman.

They later divorced. - Reason she could not fulfill the conditions for becoming True Mother and True Parents.

The Holy Biblical Marriage of the Lamb Hak Ja Han & Sun Myung Moon April 1960

If Father had been accepted in 1945 the Kingdom of Heaven could have come within seven years, by 1952.

But that did not happen and it took 40 more years to restore all this.

Since 1960 Mother (HakJaHan) followed Father like a shadow but now Mother has become Father’s equal. (1953+40=1993)

To label True Mother-HakJaHan Moon as the only begotten Daughter of God would make True Fathers first marriage (1944) a mistake in the Providence.

Instead I suggest Hak Ja Han as True mother correctly should be labeled First sucessfull Begotten Daughter of God.

A label that acknowledges her Divine Position now and forever as the Divine half of True Parents, and still leavs room to include the first marriage (1944) as a Providential and potential… in accordance with Heaven’s will (but failed) First begotten Daughter.
