1. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to seek our original homeland and build the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven, the original ideal of creation, by centering on true love.

2. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to represent and become central to heaven and earth by attending the Heavenly Parent and True Parents; we pledge to perfect the dutiful family way of filial sons and daughters in our family, patriots in our nation, saints in the world, and divine sons and daughters in heaven and on earth, by centering on true love.

3. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to perfect the Four Great Realms of Heart, the Three Great Kingships and the Realm of the Royal Family, by centering on true love

4. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to build the universal family encompassing heaven and earth, which is the Heavenly Parent’s ideal of creation, and perfect the world of freedom, peace, unity and happiness, by centering on true love.

5. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to strive every day to advance the unification of the spirit world and the physical world as subject and object partners, by centering on true love.

6. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges to become a family that moves heavenly fortune by embodying the Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and to perfect a family that conveys Heaven’s blessing to our community by centering on true love.

7. Our family, the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges, through living for the sake of others, to perfect the world based on the culture of heart, which is rooted in the original lineage, by centering on true love.

8. Our family the owner of Cheon Il Guk, pledges, having entered the Era of Cheon Il Guk, to achieve the ideal of God and human beings united in love through absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, and to perfect the realm of liberation and complete freedom in the Kingdom of God on earth and in heaven, by centering on true love

• Can you pledge in this sacred room, “God, I give You my covenant, my pledge, that I will never let you down, that I shall persevere even more than Father himself persevered, and with my hands Your mission shall be done.

• This world shall see resurrection and health because of me.”

Introduction

• Doing Pledge in the Unfiication Movement is a basic part of our Church traditions.

• “After the 36 Couple Blessing in 1961, Father proclaimed The Pledge of the Families prior to introducing My Pledge. The content outlines the blessed couples’ standard and goal as well as responsibilities, which should always be kept in our minds and hearts.” /Tradition Book I - II

• In the beginning…

• Pledge service should begin at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

• 2004 it was changed to every Ahn Shin Il day, every 8th Day. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, all the way to Saturday, Sunday and Cheon yo-il [“Heavenday”]

• May 1 1994 My Pledge is replaced by Family Pledge.

• With “My Pledge” we promised before God and satan that we would fight against satan.

• In “Family Pledge” there is no word as “satan, enemy, march forward” that appeared in “My Pledge“.

• This means that the Satanic dominion of the earth is broken.

A. “Cheon Il Guk”

1. CIG is the form of God’s Fatherland 2. Form progresses from independent country -> Won-il-guk -> unified country 3. Country where two people become one on the 8th stage 4. Mind and body unity: Prerequisite for reciting the Family Pledge

1. Subject of True Love founded on Creativity 2. Difference between owner and leader 3. Person who serves others based on quantity, quality, and speed 4. Person who goes the way of servant and slave with gratitude 5. Takes responsibility, protects, and fosters to the end

C. “Our family”

1. ‘We’ is ‘True we’: ‘We’ who are one with God 2. Title Koreans use to refer to their family 3. With God at the center 4. Always together “go, come, eat, sleep, happy, or sad”

1. Root of TL is God: God’s 4 great core attributes 2. God’s TL is founded on Creativity 3. TL is giving horizontally centering on Creativity 4. Inheriting God’s TL: Blood lineage and pure mind (2010.1.1)
