• What does Perfection in the Principle mean

What is the reason that religious people, though earnestly searching for internal truth, have been unable to accomplish their God-given mission

The relationship between the world of essence and the world of phenomena can be compared to that between mind and body.

It is a relationship of cause and result, internal and external, subject partner and object partner.

Just as people attain perfection of character only when the mind and body are fully united,

the two worlds of essence and phenomena must join in perfect harmony before the ideal world can be realized.

As with the relationship between mind and body, so too the world of phenomena cannot exist apart from the world of essence, and the world of essence cannot exist apart from the world of phenomena.

Accordingly, life after death is inseparably linked to life in this world.

Spiritual joy is incomplete without genuine physical happiness. DP96 page 5

Did human beings fall by eating a fruit called the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, as is written literally in the Bible?

If not, then what was the cause of the Fall?

The new truth must answer these and other questions which have pained and troubled the minds of profound thinkers throughout the ages:

Why did the God of perfection and beauty create human beings with the potential to fall?

A human being attains perfection when he centers his life on his mind; likewise, the creation becomes complete only when God stands as its center.

Hence, the universe is a perfect organic body that moves only according to God’s purpose of creation.

As one organic body, the universe should exist in a relationship of internal nature and external form, with God as the internal nature and the created universe as the external form.

For this reason it is written in the Bible that human beings, who are the center of the universe, are created in the image of God.

Because God exists as the subject partner having the qualities of internal nature and masculinity, He created the universe as His object partner with the qualities of external form and femininity.

All of this is supported by the Bible verse which states, “man . . . is the image and glory of God.”

Had Adam, the first human ancestor, reached perfection, he would have embodied all the subject elements in the things of creation.

Had Eve attained perfection, she would have embodied all the object elements in the things of creation.

God created Adam and Eve to have dominion over the natural world. Growing together toward perfection, Adam was to become the king of all the subject elements in creation and Eve was to become the queen of all the object elements.

If Adam and Eve had attained perfection and united as husband and wife, it would have meant the joining into oneness of the two centers of the dual characteristics of all beings.

1st Blessing

The key to God’s first blessing is the perfection of individual character.

An individual’s mind and body are discrete projections and object partners of God’s dual characteristics.

In order for an individual to perfect his character, he must form a four position foundation within himself whereby his mind and body become one through give and take action with God as their center.

Such individuals become the temples of God, achieve complete oneness with Him, and acquire a divine nature.

They experience the Heart of God as if it were their own. Hence, they understand His Will and live fully attuned to it.

When a person abides in the state of individual perfection, he lives as the substantial object partner to his mind.

Because the center of his mind is God, he also lives as the substantial object partner to God.

Both the mind and God rejoice as they experience their internal nature and external form through the stimulation which their object partners give them.

The Value of a Person Who Has Realized the Purpose of Creation

Just as the body is created in the likeness of the intangible mind to be its substantial object partner, a human being is created in the likeness of the intangible God to be His substantial object partner.

Just as there is inseparable oneness between the mind and body of a true person centered on God, there is inseparable oneness between God and a true person who together form a four position foundation. In that union, the person experiences the Heart of God as his own reality. /DP96 Christology p 173

2nd Blessing

God’s second blessing was to be fulfilled by Adam and Eve

after (not before as in the Fall) they had achieved individual perfection

as object partners to God, each manifesting an aspect of God’s dual characteristics.

In order to construct the four position foundation in their family, Adam and Eve should have joined in loving oneness as husband and wife and raised children.

This would have been the fulfillment of the second blessing.

Was Jesus striving and meant for Marriage! The Bible does not tell in those words. But it does tell that Jesus was the New Adam. If 1st Adam and 1st Eve – 2 people - fell…

2nd Blessing

Sister of John the Baptist …what is more natural than a New 2nd Adam = Jesus should find and marry a New restored 2nd Eve. Restore = “the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins” – Mark 2:10

In the same week that Dr. Hak Ja Han, revered by Unificationists the world over as our True Mother, took the lead as the True Parents on earth, Harvard professor Karen King announced the discovery of The Gospel of Jesus’ Wife, a fragment of an ancient Christian-Gnostic papyrus in which Jesus mentions his wife and defends her before the other disciples as most worthy.

Surely, the timing is no accident, but an indication of God’s work to elevate and establish True Mother in the minds of Christians and Unificationists as the genuine Lady of the Second Advent.

For this, we should give thanks to God.

• Jesus and Mary Magdalane by Stephene Adams, 1906. A stained glass window from Kilmore Church, Scotland, depicts Jesus with a possible pregnant Mary Magdalene.

If Jesus was in fact married, and if his wife was also Jesus’ most devoted disciple, as The Gospel of Jesus Wife indicates, then Christians both on earth and in the spirit world need to reassess their views of True Mother (Hak Ja Han Moon).

For truly she has been True Father’s (Sun Myung Moon) most devoted disciple and is worthy in every way.

According to True Father’s first Principle text, Wolli Wonbon (written in the early 1950s), Jesus was indeed married to Mary Magdalene.

It was a conditional marriage, however, because Mary Magdalene also had been sleeping with another man in the Archangel position (Judas Iscariot), who was supposed to give her to Jesus.

Mention that Jesus would have to restore Eve in this way is hinted at in Exposition of the Divine Principle in the discussion of Abraham and Sarah in Egypt:

At the time of Adam, three persons fell.

After the Fall, the archangel and Eve united and expelled the owner. However, at the Second Coming, Eve is to separate from the archangel, unite with her sons and daughters, and love True Parents absolutely, more than anybody else.

These are not my words; they are the Principle viewpoint. You have to know this clearly.

With whom should women and their children unite? They must unite with the true Messiah. Therefore, in the Last Days, there are three figures: Eve, the archangel and Adam.

Since Eve and the archangel united in the Garden of Eden and expelled her legal husband, at the time of restoration, Eve becomes united with the Lord of the Second Advent and has to expel the archangel by restoration through indemnity. By denying her present husband and the external, satanic environment, she has to contribute to the history of True Parents by herself.

Jesus tried to set up Judas’ wife as the woman in the position of Eve who would fulfil the original purpose of the Will.

Mary Magdalene was this woman. Although she was Judas Iscariot’s lover, she absolutely obeyed Jesus’ will. Thus, as Satan had taken Eve from Adam, Jesus would try to take Judas’ wife for himself and thereby fulfil the Will according to the Principle.

When True Mother and True Father were Blessed, the situations of Jesus’ day had to be indemnified. Certainly there are huge differences between Mary Magdalene and True Mother — not least that True Mother was a pure and virginal young woman when she and Father were wed.

Nevertheless, like Jesus’ would-be wife, True Mother faced and overcame incredible opposition from other church members, thereby indemnifying the disciples’ rejection of Mary Magdalene. She received all the accusation aimed at the original Eve and then at Mary, digested it, and restored the wife’s position.

Now, on the foundation of her victory, the story of Jesus’ wife can be revealed to humankind.

Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code enjoyed extraordinary popularity because the time has come to rehabilitate Mary Magdalene from obscurity. She was the predecessor of True Mother, and True Mother stands on the foundation of her devotion to Jesus.

The Messiah is the True Parent.

Jesus had to reverse, at the very root, the false love by which the Archangel had caused the fall of Eve, who was growing up as the sister of Adam.

• Consequently, Jesus, in the place of Adam as the Son of God, should have received as his bride he younger sister of someone in an archangelic position.

That bride was to have been none other than Zachariah’s daughter, the younger sister of John the Baptist.

To fulfil this in a world where Satan plays the role of owner and lord, Jesus needed a foundation of protection formed by absolute faith. Tragically, the entire foundation ended up collapsing around him.”

Jeremiah is describing the unfolding of the Kingdom in Israel if Israel receives the messiah when he comes.

Because this did not happen, Christians assume this is referring to the Second Coming and the eventual salvation of the Jews with no relevance to Jesus in his first coming.

What it actually reveals is that a “new covenant” was to be set up if Israel accepted Christ when he came.

It provided for forgiveness of sins without having to require his path to the cross.

All the elements of the universe are encapsulated in a fully mature person and resonate in harmony around him.

In this sense, it can be said that the universe is created through a perfect human being.

Furthermore, God intended that human beings be the creators and lords of the natural world by endowing them with the character and powers of the Creator; these are to be realized once they reach perfection through the fulfillment of their responsibility.

Seen from this perspective, these verses are in agreement with our understanding of Jesus as the man who has completed the purpose of creation; they do not signify that Jesus is the Creator Himself.

Jesus was a man no different from any of us except for the fact that he was without the original sin.

Even in the spirit world, where he has abided since his resurrection, Jesus lives as a spirit, as do his disciples.

The only difference between them is that Jesus abides as a divine spirit, emitting brilliant rays of light, while his disciples, as life spirits, reflect that light. /DP96 page 168

True Parents set the 13th day of the first month of 2013 as the Foundation Day that will mark the beginning the the substantial Cheon Il Guk, and have led the providential march toward that date.

3rd Blessing

The meaning of God’s third blessing is the perfection of a human being’s dominion over the natural world.

To fulfill this blessing, the four position foundation of dominion must be established centered on God.

Human beings and the natural world, which are the substantial object partners of God at the level of image and symbol respectively, must share love and beauty to become completely one.

Cheon Il Guk is a nation of a new type. It signifies a heavenly nation that will be governed directly by God and True Parents.

God’s Holy Marriage, God’s Coronation and the reblessing of blessed families are scheduled for the 13th day of the first month of 2013.

True Parents have already finished God’s Holy Marriage.
