THE LIMIT OF SALVATION THROUGH REDEMPTION BY THE CROSS, AND THE PURPOSE OF THE LORD’S SECOND ADVENT

If Jesus had not been crucified, what would have happened? He would have accomplished the providence of salvation both spiritually and physically. He would have established the Kingdom of Heaven on earth which would last forever.

God first created man’s flesh with the earth, and then He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and made him into a living soul (Gen. 2:7).

Man was created to have both spirit and body; his fall also came about both spiritually and physically. Naturally, salvation must include both spirit and body.

To believe in Jesus means to become one body with him; therefore, Jesus likened himself to the true vine, and his followers to its branches (John 15:5)

Jesus said this because coming in the flesh, he wanted to save fallen men both spiritually and physically.

If they had become one with him in both spirit and body by believing in him, fallen men could have been saved both spiritually and physically.

In this manner, however devout a man of faith may be, he cannot fulfill physical salvation by redemption through Jesus’ crucifixion alone.

Since the original sin lineally transmitted from Adam has not been liquidated, any saint, however devout he may be, still has original sin and cannot help giving birth to the children of original sin

Why is Jesus called the Son of God?

The question “Why is Jesus called the Son of God” often arises in the minds of many because of our associations and connotations with the word “son”.

But Jesus had many names - Son of Man, Teacher, Rabbi, Bread of Life, Door, and many more.

“Son of Man” - was a term often used by Jesus Himself, to convey that He was not only truly God but also truly man. The gospel according to John recounts that the eternal Word (Logos) was “made flesh, and dwelt among us”, and “we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father“.

In our personal faith, we may feel it necessary to mortify and deny our flesh in our efforts to prevent the intrusion of Satan, who continually tries to ensnare us through our bodies.

After he realized that the peoples disbelief was unalterable, he chose the path of the cross in order to lay the foundation for spiritual salvation, leaving unfulfilled the task of achieving physical salvation until the time of the Second Advent.

When the Jews turned against Jesus, God had to commit his body to the cross as a ransom for the redemption of humanity.

Since Jesus physical body was delivered into the hands of Satan, physical salvation was left unaccomplished.

Jesus ascended from this earthly world with the promise that he would return and complete the salvation which he had realized only spiritually.

In the meantime, there has not been even one person on the earth who has attained perfection both spiritually and physically, ruled the spiritual and physical worlds, and brought them into harmony.

This is the reason Christ cannot return only in a spiritual body.

The redemption of sins is possible only through an earthly life.

To redeem our sins on the earth, Christ must come as a man on the earth. The salvation which Jesus provided through his crucifixion, however, is limited to the spiritual dimension.

It does not resolve the original sin, which is transmitted through our physical bodies and remains active within us.

Therefore, Christ must come again to provide complete salvation to humanity, including physical salvation.

He certainly cannot achieve this if he comes only as a spirit.

The Influence of Good and Evil Spirits (Essentials Of The Unification Principle)

The struggle between the original mind and the evil mind is greatly exacerbated by the intervention of spirit men and women in the affairs of people on earth.

Good spirits, that is those close to God, have a beneficial influence on the spirits of men and women on earth. However, evil spirits, who are close to Satan in character and direction, have a bad influence on the spirits of people on earth.

Also, the concept of left-wing and right-wing ideologies was born at the time of the Crucifixion.

Lineage is so important. In order to cleanse the lineage, God prepared for thousands of years, starting from Rebecca, continuing with Tamar, and culminating with the virgin Mary.

Within the wild olive tree forest, one true olive tree was born, which is Jesus.

Once the true olive tree is born, it can be grafted into all wild olive trees, converting them into heavenly olive trees.

By uniting with Jesus in absolute faith, Christians receive Jesus’ life and are grafted into Jesus’ body.

However, because of the crucifixion of Jesus, no physical salvation occurred, and God could only give the blessing of spiritual salvation.

He comes to graft into all wild olive trees and make them into true olive trees.

Nevertheless, since human beings fell both spiritually and physically, we must be cleansed of original sin by being born again both spiritually and physically.

Christ must return to earth to grant physical salvation to humanity, which is to be realized through our physical rebirth.

Even though we may by faith unite with Jesus in spirit, our bodies are still liable to Satans attack, as was the case with Jesus himself.

In other words, our physical salvation still remains unaccomplished.
