Clifton, NJ Family Church: In-Person Sunday Service and Sunday School — De Geode

We are so pleased to be meeting everyone together in person again this Sunday. We’re looking forward to worshipping and fellowshipping together; hearing the Word and sharing inspiration and encouragement with one another. We are also excited to offer Sunday School classes for our kids.

To protect everyone’s health we ask everyone to please wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times while in the church building. We will also be seating every other pew. In lieu of eating lunch together in person, we will be offering bagged lunches to enjoy at home at the end of service .

For those not comfortable to come in person yet, we will be broadcasting the service live. So, please feel free to join us using the link below at the time of the service.

Here are the Jan 2022 meeting minutes for the council meeting held this past Sunday. The four new council members were officially welcomed, and the outgoing council members were appreciated and released from duty.

Congratulations to our new Council Chair, Mr. Tyndol Baynes! We look forward to your leadership of our Council for the next year.

Clifton Family church Council Meeting 01/16/2022 Attended by: Pastor Crescentia, Dohi Ang, Doris Desousa, Ruben Olgado, Irmgard Baynes, Tyndol Baynes, Robert Beebe, Doreen Toyoda, Assistant Pastor Takino, Hiroshi Jimbo, Jan Mendoza, Calvin Maio, Ryota Naito Monthly Financial Review We did not yet have the December Financial Report due to the end-of-year tax notifications to the congregation. Irmgard reviewed the November Financial Report again for the new council members. Clifton Family Church Budget This is still outstanding and needs to be completed by the financial committee. Building Committee Report The following items were discussed by Pastor Crescentia: ● There was a building cleanup with significant progress in the game room, which was being used as a secondary storage room. ● Mitchel Bien replaced some lights and is making a list of bulbs that still need to be replaced. ● Boiler and pipes maintenance ● Chimney sleeve to be completed later in January. ● Chair lift repair: a spare motor was found and repair should be possible with it. Council Positions Elections Farewells were said to the outgoing members: Dohi Ang, Irmgard Baynes, Doris Desouza, Doreen Waldmann Toyoda Positions were decided for the 2022 council: ● Council Chair: Tyndol Baynes ● Note-taker: Calvin Maio ● Secretary: Ryota Naito ● Financial Committee Liason: Hiroshi Jimbo
