Clifton, NJ Family Church: Ringing in the New Year - CARP 4-Day DP Workshop

I sincerely hope this letter finds you healthy and in good spirits. As we come to the last day of this 2021 year, and prepare to welcome in the new year of 2022, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for being a part of this community and making this another wonderful year. Although we’ve all experienced different challenges, we’ve also experienced so many blessings and triumphs individually and as a community of faith. I hope you can take time to celebrate these, and reflect on what you would like to change and improve for next year, as well as, make some new goals and determinations. Each new year brings with it the promise of new beginnings and a hopeful future. My prayer and wish for each of you is the fulfillment of your heart’s desires and of your highest God-given potential in this next year!

Though I wish we could come together to celebrate as a community, out of an abundance of caution, our ministry team and myself have decided to shift our services online this week in order to protect everyone’s health. Due to several cases of Covid-19 and other illnesses in our community, we have made the choice to take our New Year’s Service Online Only by Zoom at 11:00pm. The program will include time for congregational singing, guided reflection and goal setting, and prayer. All our welcome to join from the comfort of your own home.

Also, this Sunday we will NOT have our usual Sunday Service at 10am. Instead we encourage you to tune into the National Family Service at 11am, and then we will have a Virtual Community Gathering afterwards at 12:15pm as we did in the past. Early Bird Registration ends on January 1st

The intergenerational Project Pheonix team has been connecting with communities across the U.S. for four years lighting up people’s lives and hearts. They are experts in facilitating honest, authentic and trusting communication to begin to experience the “heaven on earth” that we talk about on Sundays. And now they are coming back to our community with an amazing online experience. Joining this program will give you the opportunity to:

• Be part of an intergenerational “family” group of 6 and practice honest sharing, listening, empathizing and supporting. These are safe places where we can be fully ourselves. New and deeper relationships are formed. • Practice Authentic Listening - “Seek First to Understand, Then be Understood…” Learn and then practice the secret to relationships. The skills learned can be applied in every relationship to enhance and maximize the important connections in your life. • Hear authentic, raw testimonies from those who have overcome relationship challenges through Project Phoenix and how they are moving forward with their lives based on this life-changing experience. Japanese translation will be provided for those who need it.
