Clifton, NJ Family Church: Sunday Service: Shogo Nakaza - October Great Works — De Geode

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful Autumn colors and temperatures. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1) Through creation we can feel how loved we are by our Heavenly Parent who provides us with such beauty and comfort in our surroundings.

It’s been wonderful to see more of each other at our Sunday Services these last couple of weeks now that they are happening weekly. It’s been a joy to worship together to the beautiful music performed by our band as well as reflect together on the messages shared and enjoy each other’s presence. And to see our children connecting with God and each other in their Sunday School classes, and on the playground afterwards.

Hope you can join us again this Sunday. In addition to our regular program, the One World Peace Association (OWPA), headed up by Monika Lewis, will be raising money for its reforestation project in North Korea. Goods will be sold at a garage sale set up in the Fellowship Hall and outside, and delicious Korean food will be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting OWPA. Your generous support of this cause near to our True Parents heart is much appreciated.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time of year again to nominate members for our Clifton Family Church Council. All year, even with the challenges posed from Covid-19 our Council members have been meeting diligently to discuss the management and care of our building and finances, and other matters. By the end of this year, four of our Council members will be ending their term. If serving on the Council is something you might be interested in, please see the information below and consider nominating yourself or another. Nominations will be welcomed until the end of November.

This Sunday, October 24th, OWPA - the One World Peace Association will hold a Garage and Food Sale downstairs in the Fellowship Hall after the service to raise funds for their North Korean reforestation project. Instead of our usual lunch, Korean food will be sold after the service. Be sure to bring cash or credit card if you would like to support this cause.

A Special Gathering to Celebrate the Victorious Events Marking the 9th Anniversary of True Father’s Ascension will be celebrated in Korea this Sunday, October 24, at 9am centered on True Mother.

The live broadcast will take place on October 23, at 8pm Eastern in North America.
