Clifton, NJ Family Church: Pastor Letter | Prayer Request for Dr. Edwin Ang

2021-01-15 · Source: tparents.org

Hope this letter finds you well. God’s been teaching me an important lesson this week through many different avenues, my children, Dr. Yong, members of our community to name a few, and I thought it would be valuable to share.

Have you ever found yourself in a rut in a relationship with someone, or even with God? You promised God you’re going to do something, perhaps make a condition. You go strong for a few days, and then you miss a day, and then another. You told a loved one you were going to do something for them that was really important to them, but you forget, and they are really disappointed. Perhaps you said something in a moment of frustration that really hurt someone. What to do? Stay stuck feeling bad about it, bad about yourself? Or, do something to make it better?

An apology is a great way to try to make things better, and then ask how can I help? As a parent, whenever my child apologizes, and then tries to make up for something they did that they should not have, I appreciate it, and I’m proud of them for making up for their mistake, and learning from it. I’d much rather have that, then for them to feel they had to hide away from me. When my husband apologizes for something he said, or did or didn’t do, I’m touched by it, and it draws my heart closer to him. I’m even more moved when he does something to make up for it.

God as our Heavenly Parent is the same. God never wants us to get so down about something we did or did not do, that we feel like we can’t even relate with Him. He always wants to find a way to reconnect with us. Any step we take to repair the relationship, God appreciates, and will gladly receive, and use as a way to connect with us again. This week I want to encourage a readiness to apologize and make up for our mistakes, in an effort to bring healing and reconciliation with God and those we love.

In fact, I would like to suggest that we do this as a condition of repentance on behalf of the leadership of our nation who have not been able to do this, and have caused more harm as a result. Our nation is in pain, and desperately needs healing. I believe repentance can help support that healing, even if done symbolically. Let’s be the ones to bring peace through apology.

Wishing you many blessings in this coming week. Sincerely, Pastor Crescentia

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As you may have heard already, Dr. Edwin Ang, of the 43 Couples’ Blessing, one of the first 13 American couples to be Blessed, has been hospitalized with COVID-19, and needs our prayers.

He is in Robert Wood Johnson hospital in New Jersey. His situation is very delicate and has worsened again. Given his age (over 90 years old) and medical condition, it is quite complicated.

Please pray for his recovery, and let us offer our love and support with prayers and encouragement to Dr. Ang and his family.

Updates on Dr. Ang from Pastor Crescentia On Jan. 7, 2021

As you have likely heard, Dr. Ang was taken to the Robert Wood Johnson hospital in New Brunswick on Sunday. They have been monitoring him closely for his heart condition, as well as, for Covid-19, which he tested positive for. For the last few days he has been tired and did not have much appetite, but his condition was stable. However, just this evening I received a call from Dohi letting me know that Dr. Ang’s condition has worsened in the last 24 hours. He now has Covid Pneumonia, and his condition could get worse quickly.

As such, on behalf of the Ang family, I would like to ask for your prayers for Dr. Ang’s health to quickly improve, and for no further complications to occur. Let’s pray for the angels to surround him and bring healing energy to his body. I would be grateful if you could please also share this message with the members of your small group as well.

Dr. and Mrs. Ang have expressed that they are very grateful for and encouraged by all the prayers, messages and support that has already been offered by our members. Let’s all join together to continue to give them all the prayers, love and support possible at this challenging time.

Thank you very much Sincerely, Pastor Crescentia
