2020-01-10 · Source: tparents.org
Hope this message finds you and your family surrounded with love and blessings, and having a great start to this new year of 2020!
Here in NJ we have been given a special opportunity to join together with brothers and sisters from around the Subregion and TribeNet 2020 participants from all over the nation for a joint Sunday Service THIS Sunday, January 12th at 10am.
The subregional service will be held at the Grand Ballroom of the New Yorker Hotel, on the 2nd floor. We will be joining our national president, Rev. Dunkley and Mrs. Dunkley to welcome our Regional Chairman, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim for a special message.
In lieu of this, we will NOT have our regularly scheduled services in Clifton this Sunday. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your participation in this special service to start the new year off together.
For families with young children, a special room on the 3rd floor has been prepared for your convenience, so please don’t hesitate to join the service.
Hope you have a wonderful week! Many blessings, Pastor Crescentia
Please take a moment to cast your vote for who should be the new members of our Clifton Family Church Council. Four new members will be elected to represent you. Make sure your voice is included.

Clifton Family Church or after college to experience personal and 2019~2020 Council Nomination spiritual growth through fundraising, service Guide projects and workshops.
After graduating from the university of Vienna, Doreen Waldmann Toyoda I moved to Japan with my husband and was very involved in the international church community of Tokyo. This experience has left me with many amazing impressions and moments to grow and widen my horizon in many aspects.
In 2014 we moved to NJ and have lived here ever since, being part of the Clifton community.
My name is Doreen Waldmann and I am a 2nd I would be honored to serve as a church Generation from Austria. I received the council as I can bring international experience, blessing with Tokubumi Toyoda in 2009 and insights from the 2nd gen perspective as well we have 3 children, Kai, Leon and Mari. All as from a mother of 3 young children! throughout my life I have always been involved in various church activities, such as HARP, CARP and STF. My passion has always been to support our community in various ways, but especially in the youth and college age groups. I helped start and coordinate DONE, a gap year program, geared toward 2nd gens before

I want to join the council because the youth/young adult needs to have a stronger input in the church decision making. I truly believe that I can help improve the youth/young adults livelihood because I’m closer to them (being a staff at GO). Being part of the council would be an interesting growing experience.
Doris de Sousa
With all that experience, all we wanted is really to help our Heavenly Father to advance the providence, alway, by attending our church. With all of that, we had the amazing experience of helping the start-up of our local community church (Elizabeth Family Church) with Pastor Greg Agulan. I personally helped locating a suitable place- all of that without money or salary involved.
A part of the Church Ministry, I help the Youth group supervising their activities- That’s my passion- Inspire our youth for the future and help guide them towards building a heavenly kingdom! During that time I also assisted as a Sunday School Director and helped with Hospitality.
When I moved to Clifton Church pastor Manoj asked me to help with the Latino Ministry between Nov. 2016 until Nov. 2018, and during that time I organized workshops and Latino services every month and some Holiday activities. Dear Clifton Family Church, I felt that all the Latino community were not fully informed of all the church Since I became a member of the unification church I have this strong feeling activities, sometimes for lack of translation or for not knowing where to look of helping God and his providence. That said, the best way for me to do just for that information. For that reason I created the Ministerio Latino- Clifton that is always helping our leaders anyway I can. Facebook page, to help post announcements and events.
I’m a member since 1991; I was blessed in 1992 (30,000 couples), and Is my sincere hope to continue assisting our church, our leaders and our together with my husband Denando de Sousa, we walk the way that our pastor. I believe that is always part of us, it’s who we are, as a community, True Parents guided us. We were blessed with 3 wonderful children, Hakja since we joined the church. de Sousa (21), Alexander Kwanhoon (18) and Hannah Kayoung (12).
I was a full-time member 5 years and I saw how difficult is to administrate every aspect of our church, our ministry, community, etc. I realized that our Dohi Ang church and tradition had to apply a receptive way to treat guests, our own senior members, young couples and our youth- future generation and all of that with love and the heart of our Father, that wishes to save us all.
After pausing my studies for many years to fully attend True Parents, My husband came to my Country and we started family, and I finish my career getting a Nurse Degree. After moving to the USA, My husband also made a heart offering of helping the church, first in the Bronx Church, then in Washington DC, in the UFC building.
I have not done any significant ministry work for 20 years. Rather, I have focused those 20 years on fulfilling the needs of my family and raising my children, which has been both a great challenge and joy. The Clifton Family Church community has been a large part of that, so I would like to serve on the church council in order to give back to the church community in gratitude. I feel our movement in general and the Clifton Family Church in particular are worthy of investment and care. I would like to help in that effort, if I can. I don’t have any particular skills that would aid in the fulfillment of the church council’s duties. I don’t know finance outside of managing my own family’s budget. I’m not socially outgoing or particularly well connected with church members and their Irmgard Baynes concerns. But I do believe in the Clifton Family Church’s mission and feel that through service and by working together, we can advance that mission.
Serving the NJ community, supporting the new pastors, I think I could be good at be a voice for community members, would love to support with creating exciting worship culture and guest care. I served as a community leader with my husband under Pastor Manoj. I also serve as a matching supporter for a few years now and an accountability partner with HighNoon. I work in the home office of WFWP as the treasurer and main bookkeeper.
