Letter From Our Pastor DEAR BROTHERS and SISTERS,

Hope you are starting to feel the Christmas spirit and experiencing warm hearts despite the cold. We are now just two weeks away from receiving our True Mother at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on Dec. 28th. Thank you so much for all your prayers and conditions. Let’s keep the momentum going!

This Sunday at church we will be distributing the first batch of tickets for the rally. Tomorrow morning, Dec. 14th we will be having a 1000-person Prayer Breakfast in Newark 8:30-11:00am. This is an awesome opportunity to experience just a taste of what Dec. 28th will be like. You are invited to attend with or without a guest. It won’t be the same without you.

Also, next Saturday, Dec. 21st 2-5pm we will be hosting a Christmas Party which we hope you and your family can participate in. Enjoy yummy food, activities, gift exchange, talent show and visit with Santa Claus.

Homestays for December Dear New Jersey Family,

December 2019 is truly looking to be a significant moment for the American and global Unification movement! We are sure you are all looking forward with great excitement to the opportunity to welcome our True Mother on the 28th of December for the launch of the World Clergy Leadership Conference and the Clergy Rally for a Heavenly Unified World. The young adult community sure is!

As you may already be aware, there are quite a few events and workshops taking place among the YAYAM and CARP communities in the last two weeks of December. We are expecting large numbers of participants and volunteers from not just the USA but all over the world! We are looking for people in your community who would like to support the mobilization and workshop efforts by offering their homes as homestays.

There are two main groups who are looking for accommodations:

First, young adults and older adults nationwide will be coming to New Jersey to join the CARP mobilization efforts during the week prior to the December 28 rally. This group is looking for accommodations from December 19 - December 26.

Second, while participants will generally be staying in a hotel together during the 7-day and 3-day YAYAM workshops, some participants may need to fly in or fly out a day early or late and will need a place to stay for those nights.

NOMINATIONS FOR NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS 2019 Four council members will be ending their terms in December including Choongnam Onoe, Christine Libon, Zachary Beebe, and Josephine Gimay. The council will begin accepting nominations for new council members from Sunday, November 10th until Saturday, November 23rd. Listed below are the duties, and eligibility requirements of council members.

Duties of Council Members:

● Approve Clifton Church plans and budgets. ● Give quarterly financial reports and an annual report to the community. ● Approve paid Church staff and key personnel. ● Appoint or remove department leaders with Pastor’s approval. ● Appoint standing or ad hoc committees as needed. ● Hear concerns of church members. ● When there is a need for a new Pastor, the Church Council will search for and recommend candidate to the President or his authorized representative for approval.

● Newly elected Council members will serve for a two-year term. Nominees Requirements: A. Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by another person (with the permission of the nominee.) B. Members who are church employees and their spouses are not eligible to run for council, to avoid conflict of interest. C. Nominees must be a *member of Clifton Church D. 24 years or older E. Nominee has lived in the community for a minimum of 1 year.

*Member – A person who believes in True Parents, attends Sunday Worship service, tithes / donates or volunteers for (FFWPU) church activities, under True Mother’s Leadership.
