Bento Leal will present on the topic “Empathic Awareness: An Essential Foundation for Good Communication” on Feb. 26 at the monthly Marriage Enrichment Webinar. This presentation will go into detail on the importance of empathic awareness of the inherent value and dignity of ourselves and the people we communicate with. Without the practice of fundamental awareness, our communication skills and relationships will fall short of the greatness they can be.

About Bento Leal

Bento Leal is a certified Marriage and Relationship Educator with the California Healthy Marriages Coalition. He has Bento has taught communication skills classes to more than 2000 couples and singles at churches, family resource centers, community organizations, substance abuse recovery programs, and county jails in California. He has also conducted facilitator trainings at UTS in Barrytown in 2009, and UTS in NYC in 2011.

Bento works as a Program Specialist and Communication Skills Trainer. His wife, Kimiko, is a caregiver for retired seniors. Bento and Kimiko enjoy walking and jogging together daily, laughing a lot, meeting new people, and visiting new sites around the beautiful Bay Area. They currently reside in San Leandro, California and have three children, Yong-Sung, Yu-Mee, Jin-Mee.
