We Should Proclaim the Second Advent of the Lord

When Rev. Hyung Jin Moon led the Korean church he implemented many changes, one of which was to witness directly that Christ has returned and that True Parents have arrived.

Here are some of his words while he shared with Asian church leaders about importance of telling the public that Christ as returned (full speech can be seen at vimeo.com/search?q=hyung+jin+nim+in+taiwan,+part+2):

“Our purpose is for people to understand that True Parents are the Messiah and the Returning Lord. Our purpose is not just to make people feel good, our purpose is not just to make contacts; our purpose is to witness.”

“We have one mission; it is to tell the world that Jesus’ mission has been completed by the Returning Lord.”

“We have promoted True Parents as great patriarchs, peace activists, etc., but we have actually been hiding their true identity.”

“When people know True Parents are the Messiah, they see them with spiritual eyes.”

“Now is the final stage, we are not here to make contacts, we are here as Apostles, to declare True Parents.”

“Spirit world will not help you without such faith.”

“In spirit world nothing matters – only, did you save souls, did you declare True Parents?”

“Christianity grew because of faith and love for Jesus. The Holy Spirit came and blessed their faith and love.”

We’ve all done witnessing in the past but never in the manner proposed by Rev. Hyung Jin Moon. After such inspiration, some members started to conduct direct witnessing in South London.

As time passed, we became more and more convinced that this method is the way forward. We each experienced a re-birth within ourselves that gave us a confidence and determination that is difficult to put into words unless you actually do it.

The more we did direct witnessing, the more we gained strength. We discovered an abundance of life as we went out to love and give hope to people, always clearly knowing who we are, Apostles of the True Parents, always clearly telling everyone that Christ has returned.

We are not necessarily clinging to conventional witnessing concepts, as brother Bruno Klotz made clear in his recent comment on the familyfed.org/members Opinion forum:

“We can do the same [as Christians do] and just go out and tell the people what each of us knows, that the Messiah returned and that now we are establishing the Kingdom by divine love. We can tell them that our

lineage has changed through the blessing. We can in less than 5 minutes explain that God’s ideal was messed up by Adam and Eve, and that Jesus came to restore that, but was killed because of ignorance and that he should have been accepted. And that finally God has been able to restore the original ideal by True Parents. And that finally our lineage can be changed. And we can ask them to be part of it and also help to build the Kingdom.”

Our team of members in South London go around and visit several church services or bible studies every week. All those pastors are welcoming us, knowing that we are evangelists who believe that Christ has returned. We made that clear at the first visit.

Almost 100 percent of those pastors willingly received True Father’s autobiography and Jesus’ message [from the spiritual world] and are receptive in accepting any other material we may offer to them. More and more we are being asked to support the Christian pastors’ ministry by our presence and prayer.

We feel to the depth of our hearts that these recent words by True Mother are so true:

“From now on, you should confidently testify who True Father is. You should testify confidently who True Parents are…I think it is our pressing task to let all the people in the world know, within the shortest time possible, that the True Parents have come. Telling humankind that True Parents have already come will become our great asset in the future. Are not the Christians and the Latter Day Saints still waiting for the Messiah and returning Lord? We have already finished the Completed Testament Age and ushered in Cheon Il Guk. Yet, these people live without knowing the providential time. We cannot remain still. We should mobilize all means to notify people that True Parents have come. We must inform them that the Messiah has come.”

And why is it so important that Christianity realizes that the second advent of Christ has happened? Why is it so important that they stand up for True Parents?

Jesus Christ has already told us very clearly in the speech “The Victory of Love” why it is so important:

“You must understand that when my sheep [the Christians] come to the True Parents, a healing will take place. The power of Heaven can descend that has never yet existed on the earth. Yes, if you bring in the Christians … you will see quickly, the Kingdom can come on earth. But until this is fulfilled, we cannot live in the Kingdom.”

The results of our activity are evident, firstly within us. We have gained new life, we are confident, we know what to do, who we are, and what to say. We are self-motivated and determined to succeed, and everything else will follow and fall into place.

Let us not allow True Mother to be like “one crying in the wilderness.” Let us give to God and True Parents all the glory!
