UK Blessing Preparation Mami Morimitsu-Papp makes 1,000 cranes

The meaning of 1,000 cranes became far more real for me this year because a beautiful Japanese lady folded 1,000 cranes for me! However, not only did she do that, but she did so for 2 other sisters who have been facing health challenges too!

Mami stayed with Ashley and me for several months while she was getting to know her fiancé and working with him to arrange their legal wedding and legal status for the future of them living here.

She helped me a lot with household chores when she could, shared many hours of deep and cheerful conversation and also accompanied me on a crucial and unforgettable visit to the hospital.

Mami’s heart-felt sincerity and love will always be radiating from these beautiful works of art!

Her stay here culminated in our Blessing Preparation Workshop held in our home on Sunday 29th July.

After the program finished Josh McGuigan interviewed Janos Papp, Mami and Lorans Leau who will be attending the Blessing Ceremony in Korea on August 27th. Hearing familiar and new stories about their lives and journey to find our True Parents and their precious fiancés moved my heart so much. I think listening to their stories also helped everyone to remember how God has worked in remarkable and beautiful ways in their lives to bring them to this point.

They all ended up being nurtured by Pastor Hayashi, the North London Community members and the Central Londoners too. Pastor Hayashi worked with me and the Japanese Blessing Department to guide them through the 1st Gen Matching System. An indispensable part of Janos’ experience was a study group started off by Joanna Hartl and run for years by Anne Kobayashi. Huge thanks is owed to all these people.

During the day they heard 3 talk: “The Meaning of the Blessing”, “The Change of Lineage” and “The Process of Preparing for Blessed Marriage; How to become an owner of this noble goal”.
