Rev. Joshua Cotter has resigned from his position as Executive Vice President

Warm greetings in the name of God and True Parents! Thank you for your prayers and devotions as we continue to affirm our dedication and commitment to God’s Will in this time following True Father’s ascension.

This memo is to officially confirm a change in leadership in the American church. Following the earlier resignation of the Church President and CEO [In Jin Moon], Rev. Joshua Cotter has also resigned from his position as Executive Vice President. Dr. Michael Balcomb has been appointed to succeed him. This change is effective as of October 1, 2012.

We express our thanks and appreciation to Rev. Cotter for his service, sacrifice and hard work over the past three years. As Executive Vice President, he oversaw the day-to-day activities of our national church. In addition to managing the Headquarters in New York, he was the primary liaison for our district and local pastors, visiting with members around the nation, and representing the USA church overseas.

We also want to thank and acknowledge Rev. Cotter’s wife, Young Ae, and the entire Cotter family for the very considerable sacrifice of allowing him to work apart from them for weeks and even months at a time. The support and dedication of the entire family is much appreciated.

We wish the best for Rev. Cotter in his future endeavors as he continues to serve God’s Providence here in America.
