Attend the OSDP Conference in Las Vegas

Thank you for the overwhelming support that you have given during this National 40-Day Condition of Prayer and Action. Our True Parents and our Senior Pastor, Reverend In Jin Moon, are grateful to see that we are working together in absolute unity to fulfill True Parents’ direction for America.

We have now reached the half-way point in fulfilling three of the six Original Substance of the Divine Principle conferences to educate 3,000 clergy in America. The third OSDP conference was completed on Wednesday, November 9 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It was the most powerful conference to date and over 500 attended, including 200 clergy leaders and their members. The spirit was powerful and the reflections that we have received from the clergy and our members, including many second generation, are overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

The 172 clergy who went to Korea are on fire to fulfill True Parents’ direction to them to each bring 12 participants to the OSDP conferences. Many are going far beyond that. Bishop Solange Grant-Lewis from New York brought 40 to Atlantic City and she is now in Las Angeles helping the clergy there mobilize for the upcoming Las Vegas conference. Rev Michael Sykes, ACLC Co-Chairman from New Jersey, brought 21 participants to the Atlantic City conference. Our District Pastors, Dr. Ann I. (New Jersey) and Rev. Bruce Grodner (New York) did an incredible job of inspiring and uniting their teams to bring this victory.

Many of the clergy who attended the Atlantic City conference were exposed to True Parents and the Divine Principle for the first time and had deep transformational experiences. The element of powerful praise and workshop music has also helped to make the OSDP conferences more impactful for all of the participants.

Over 60 members of Generation Peace Academy (GPA) attended the Atlantic City conference. They gained much and their presence and enthusiastic spirit inspired all of the clergy. Rev. Jeong Ok Yu gave the “Principle of Creation” lectures, and Rev. Michael Jenkins and Archbishop George A. Stallings gave the rest of the presentations in English.

The fourth OSDP conference will take place at the Riviera Hotel (2901 Las Vegas Blvd. S) in Las Vegas from Monday, November 14 through Thursday, November 17. Our goal is to bring over 500 participants to this conference as well. We need everyone’s help and participation to ensure its success. If we unite centering on True Parents with this direction, miracles will occur and the spirit world will convict people to come. Not only the 172 clergy, but every one of us should make a goal to bring 12 people. With that kind of heart of ownership, victory will be assured. This will be the final OSDP conference in Las Vegas during 2011. Today is 11-11-11. This date comes only once every 100 years. We now have three days to fulfill the goal for Las Vegas. Let’s work as if each day was like one in a hundred years!

Registration for the Las Vegas conference is online at www.familyfed.org/osdp. Most lectures will be provided in English and the registration fee is a love offering of $200. Each first-time Unification participant is responsible for an additional $700 donation, payable through their District headquarters.

Yesterday, we held the Sung Hwa ceremony for Dr. David S. C. Kim in the main chapel at UTS in Barrytown, New York. True Parents gave a beautiful calligraphy for Dr. Kim and proclaimed that his ceremony was the first Sung Hwa ceremony. Seunghwa means “harmonious ascension” – but Sung Hwa means “the achievement of sacred harmony”. So, Dr. Kim’s Sung Hwa ceremony now begins a new era for True Parents’ worldwide movement.

The ceremony was very beautiful with Dr. Kim’s family in attendance together with representative leaders from our church, all affiliated organizations and hundreds of our family members. Dr. David S. C. Kim was the pioneer of our American church. He passed into the spirit world at the age of 97, making him the longest living disciple of our True Parents. Up until his final moments on earth, he never wavered in his absolute faith, love and obedience to our True Parents. His final words in fact were. “Hoon Dok Hae!” Let us all learn from and inherit the incredible spirit and determination of our beloved elder brother, Dr. David S. C. Kim.
