Announcing Upcoming ODP Workshop in Las Vegas -- July 20-26, 2011

Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the love and blessings of our Heavenly Parent and our True Parents be with you and with your families. We wish to thank all of our families across America (and our District and State Pastors) for your tremendous show of love and support for True Parents’ providential initiatives in the United States. We are grateful for the incredible faith and attendance to True Parents that we consistently see exemplified by our Senior Pastor, Rev. In Jin Moon. Centering on her example and that of our International President, Rev. Dr. Hyung Jin Moon, we in America are absolutely committed to attending our True Parents with a heart of filial piety and to bringing greater and greater victory as we advance towards Foundation Day.

Many of our District and State Pastors, Blessed families and Second Generation youth recently attended the Original Divine Principle Workshop in Las Vegas, once again responding to the call of our True Parents. The testimonies and reflections from the participants, including many from our Second Generation, were deeply inspiring. We thank Rev. Jeong Ogk Eu for his absolute faith and attendance to True Parents as the ODP lecturer. It is True Parents’ strong hope and direction that every one of our blessed family members, and our Ambassadors for Peace and Clergy, attend the ODP Workshop in Las Vegas. This providence will be continuing for some time to come. Now our True Parents have asked us to host an International ODP Workshop with representatives from all over the world coming to Las Vegas from July 20-26. Participants will include National Messiahs, Boonbongwangs, Ambassadors for Peace, ACLC clergy, leaders of providential organizations as well as members 17 years and older. We have opened space for at least fifty participants to attend from America. The workshop will be held at the South Point Hotel, 9777 South Las Vegas Blvd. Presentations will be given by Rev. Jeung Og Yu. Arrivals should be by 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20 with the opening session at 7:00 PM. Departures can be scheduled after breakfast on Tuesday, July 26. Optional sightseeing tours are also available after the workshop.

Registration for the workshop is online at http://familyfed.org/odp. The registration fee is $650 with a double-occupancy sleeping room, $900 with a single-occupancy sleeping room and $425 for daytime participation without a sleeping room, payable through the online registration form. The registration fee includes all meals from dinner on Wednesday, July 20 through breakfast on Tuesday, July 26. A special donation of $700 is due from those who are participating in the workshop for the first time, payable to your District Headquarters’ office. TRAVEL TO AND FROM LAS VEGAS Travel to and from the venue is the responsibility of each participant.

MEALS Scheduled meals will be provided throughout the workshop starting from dinner on Wednesday, July 20 through breakfast on Tuesday, July 26. Participants are responsible to pay for any additional food and drinks outside the scheduled programs. For those arriving in Las Vegas prior to July 20, you will be responsible for your own meals.

ACCOMMODATIONS Sleeping accommodations at the South Point Hotel will be provided from Wednesday, July 20, through Tuesday, July 26 (6 nights). Sleeping rooms are double-occupancy unless otherwise stated prior to arrival. Roommates will be assigned upon arrival at the conference site, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Based on availability, single rooms are optional for an additional $250. Incidentals are the responsibility of each participant (you will need to present your credit card at the front desk). Participants are responsible for their own accommodations outside of these dates.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION A free shuttle is available from McCarran International Airport to the Flamingo Hotel. If you would like to take a taxi, the cost is about $25. Self-parking is available at the hotel for free. Ground transportation during the time of the workshop program will be provided for all participants according to the published schedule. After the close of the workshop, participants are responsible for their own transportation.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY FOR LOSS Participants are responsible to arrange their own travel insurance. We are not responsible for loss of private property (such as lost luggage), or for personal medical conditions. Please consult your health insurance carrier about international travel and prepare all the necessary documents that would be needed in the event of an emergency. This should include but not be limited to the exact contact information for your doctors, prescription details, etc.
