May the love and blessings of Heavenly Father and our True Parents be with you.

Please carefully read the official memo from our international headquarters which explains the schedule and the activities that are to take place for the God’s Day and True Parent’s Birthday Celebrations in Korea.

Featured among these activities is the Cheonbok Festival (and the lighting of the Cheonbok Lantern). All members worldwide are encouraged to participate in this special festivity by using the attached form. Please follow instructions as outlined below.

May God and True Parents’ blessings and love be with your regions, mission nations and providential organizations.

This is to announce an update to the schedule for the events at the beginning of the 2nd year of Cheon-gi and the True Peace and Unity Cheonbok Festival. The lighting of Cheonbok Lanterns during the True Peace and Unity Cheonbok Festival will be held according to True Parents’ instructions (given on January 23, 2011). Please do your best in preparations for all the events.

1. Revised schedule for the events at the beginning of the 2nd year of Cheon-gi

The yute tournament that was to be held at Cheon Jeong Gung right after the Day of Victory of Love on the 2nd day of the 1st month by the heavenly calendar (February 4, 2011) will be held at the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center following a special ceremony to celebrate the completion of the framework for the construction of the Cheongshim Peace World Center (in

which True Parents will participate) to take place immediately after the Day of Victory of Love celebration.

2. Revised schedule for the True Peace and Unity Cheonbok Festival: Lighting of the Cheonbok Lantern

1) Significance of the lighting of the Cheonbok Lantern The ideal and desire for a Second Coming (of the founder of a religion) is manifested in all religions. This desire plus the diversity of culture that we see today serve as the basis for people to receive and welcome the Lord at his Second Advent, the True Parents. The Cheonbok Lantern reflects a variety of such religious rituals, and encapsulates the wish for unity and peace and for all humankind to receive and welcome the True Parents on the occasion of True Parents’ Birthday.

2) Donation standard for lighting the Cheonbok lantern Donation Standard Individuals 100,000 won, 300,000 won or 500,000 won Churches or Organizations 1,000,000 won - Individuals can offer three types of donation: 100,000 won, 300,000 won or 500,000 won - Churches or organizations can make a donation of 1,000,000 won or more. * Individuals can make more than one offering if they wish to.

3) Sample image of the Cheonbok Lantern and location to attach the lantern outside Cheon Bok Gung (See attached document).
