Honoring Our Tradition: 40 Years of Faith

Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the love and blessing of our Heavenly Parent and our True Parents be with you always. We are grateful for your continued support of our True Parents’ providential work for the renewal of America, and the establishment of One Family under God. On December 10, we will hold a special celebration to express our appreciation to our elders in America, the root of our Unification Movement in the USA. The celebration, entitled “Honoring Our Tradition: 40 Years of Faith”, will take place at the Manhattan Center in New York City, honoring members of the 777 and 43 Couples’ Blessings who reside in the USA on the occasion of their 40th anniversaries, as well as Unificationists in America who have attended our True Parents for 40 years or more, having joined our Movement before January of 1971. Our national president and senior pastor, Rev. In Jin Moon, wholeheartedly endorses this commemo- rative event, reminding us that as we work to educate and raise a generation of peace, support God’s providence and strengthen our communities, we need to honor and appreciate those who on whose shoulders we stand. Therefore, we are doing our best to assure that as many of our precious elders as possible will be honored, in the presence of their families and Brothers and Sisters. We ask that our members throughout America support the success of this event by contributing whatever small amount you can. In honor of the 40th anniversaries and the 40-year members, we suggest a minimum donation of $40 from each family. This amount, or whatever you can give, will be used exclusively for the support of this celebration, and to establish a tradition of honoring our 40-year elders on a regular basis. Please send a check or money order, addressed to “HSA-UWC 40 Years”, to your District Headquarters by December 3rd. You are also invited to participate in the program! It begins at 7:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center. A celebration meal will be followed by an evening of music, tributes, fellowship and dancing. Tickets are available at $70 each, but must be purchased in advance to guarantee seating (seating in limited).
