Sally Cooper has passed away

Our Sister, Sally Cooper, has just passed away after living a very long life, Mom was born, July 5, 1942 in Snyder, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Ernest Elmo Gunter who Passed away in 1943 in Ortono, Italy as a Seaforth Highlander in the Canadian Army. A father she never got to meet.

Her mother Jeannette Ruth Harris Heighberger, passed away in 2016 In Wichita Falls, Texas. And her divorced husband Robert Lawrence Cooper.

Sally lived in San Diego, California for many years, and she Was the mother of two daughters, Mary Nelle Dagenhart of San Diego, California,And Christiana Bess Huntzinger of San Diego, California. And a grandson Gunner Mac Huntzinger of San Diego, California.

Mom grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. With her mom, step dad Henry Bernard Heiberger, and four sisters, Mary Howell of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Barbara Heiberger of London, England, Katie Roser of Kissimmee, Florida, and Becky Morrison of Wichita Falls, Texas.

And five nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.

Mom went to St Joseph College in Emmitsburg, MD. Later was a teacher at Robert E Lee High School around 1970.

Mom was an English teacher at heart, she taught High school and College age students. She wore many hats, mom was a floral designer, professional singer For Sweet Adelines International Choir but sang in the Choir in Richardson, Texas for the Richtone Chorus. She was a Real Estate agent For Century 21, A technical writer for MCI , a receptionist, a ballet dancer, A jeweler, made many beautiful pieces of jewelry over the years. And an actor, Mom acted in a few commercials in Baltimore, Maryland for a Christian company.

Mom was also very ill most of her child and adult life. She suffered as a result from Dialysis patient, arthritis, and more. But ultimately it was her heart that suffered the most In the end. She passed away peacefully and in no pain in Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.

While mom had many talents, and was a wonderfully loving, caring, hard working Single mom , loved life, would help others if she could. Great at advising those who needed it.

She was very close to god in her heart, she loved her family dearly, and enjoyed playing and spending time with family especially her grandson.

Mom loved to sing, and play piano, she knitted some here and there too.

We will be celebrating her life, this Saturday , March 25,th, and having A Party in her honor, with family and friends who were close to her.

She was loved, gave love, and will be missed.
