Pastor’s Weekly Greeting

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

This past week has been a challenging one for Lydia and myself. We have had an amazing experience with all of you here at WestRock over these past 12 years. We are so grateful for the honor of working with you –always feeling your love and support. And so it is not easy to leave. We are going to miss you!

At the same time, we trust in True Mother’s decision and we are excited to be a part of the providence in Las Vegas, a city in which True Father has such great expectations. Now that IPEC is built – we want to do all we can to help make it a place where the Divine Principle is conveyed in such a way that our members, and all who come there, will experience the awakening of their original mind and be transformed by a deep awareness of God’s heart and will. I want to assure you that I will not be leaving without making sure that things are in good hands. We are now in the process of searching for a new pastor (centered on our council) and for a new District Leader (centered on our District council). (By the way, if you know of someone who you feel would be a good pastor – encourage them to apply. They need to send in their resume and 3 letters of recommendation.)

I will be leaving for Las Vegas on or close to July 11. Before I leave, with the help of our council, a trinity leadership team will be in put in place to watch over things and deal with urgent situations until a new pastor is chosen. Once a pastor is chosen I will return to work with that person and help him/her get started.

Please take note, that a lot of great things are happening this summer for our youth. Check it all out at the familyfed.org site – and encourage your kids to get involved.

Finally – I encourage everyone to come and support the Blessing ceremony at Belvedere this Saturday – for the Blessing of Andrea and her husband Alberto. See the announcement below. Thank you once again for all your love and support

Humor for the Week Birds and Bees Mommy sighs, knowing this day would come so she sits her daughter down for a long talk about the birds and the bees.

After Mommy has told her little girl all about the making of babies, the little girl is now silent for a while.

“You understand it now?” Mommy asks.

“Yes,” replies her daughter.

“Do you still have any questions?”

“Yes, how about little kittens, how does that work?”

“In exactly the same way as with babies.”

“Wow,” the girl exclaims, “my daddy can do ANYTHING!”

Sunday Bulletin Announcements Community  We will have a Holy Blessing at Belvedere!: Everyone is invited for the Blessing of Andrea and Alberto Urrutia, this coming Saturday, June 27. Come for lunch at 12 noon ($20 – RSVP by Wednesday June 24) or just come for the Blessing (1 pm). Let’s celebrate!

 Sunday School during the summer: for children entering Second and Third Grades. It will be one combined class and I will be teaching the class. The fee is $20 per month - July and August.
