Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Dear Brothers & Sisters,

It’s been a while. I have been involved with the witnessing campaign at 43rd St. followed by the 7 Day workshop in Las Vegas.

I was so happy to be with you all at Camp Sunrise for our NY District Unified Service. Our new vice presidents, Miilhan Stevens and Mari Curry did a great job. And I was especially inspired by the work that Susan Bouachri has done with our 8th graders and their parents. The Il Shim program is a prime testimony to the love and truth that our True Parents have given us.

Following our witnessing campaign, my hope is that we will keep the spirit of outreach alive and active. Kodan is going to be witnessing out of 43rd Street each week on Wednesdays (for more information please contact Hiromi Kitchens). Please join in and support them. There are people on the streets of NY who are prepared to receive the DP. I know of several who were met during the campaign who are now on the way to becoming members.

In addition – I want to encourage us all to take the call to be Tribal Messiahs seriously. Do you have a binder? Are you talking about your “Tribe” on a regular basis (once a week) with your spouse – praying for them, and developing strategies for their spiritual growth?

Finally, please encourage your youth. There is summer camp, there is an incredible program at Chung Pyung, and there is the upcoming start of the new Generation Peace Academy program. In addition there are several Blessing preparation programs being offered (including, if your child has made a mistake, the Back on Track program). If you have difficulty getting connecting with any of these programs please contact me.

As you know, I have a mission change and will be moving to Las Vegas to help support the work there - to fulfill our True Parent’s vision and make it a Shining City. Thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement. I ask you for your prayers – that America can be transformed by God’s word. In the meantime I am praying with you for WestRock and the NY District – for God’s assistance in finding new leadership.

Together, let’s take to heart True Mother’s guidance and revive America!

Humor for the Week Men Give Up Far More than Women As a professor at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, I often engage women psychology majors in heated discussions about male-female relationships.

Once, my friend Shelly and I got into a hot debate about whether men or women make the larger sacrifice of their respective gender characteristics when they get married.

To my surprise, Shelly agreed with me that men give up far more than women.

“You’re right, Steve,” she said. “Men generally give up doing the cleaning, the cooking, their grocery shopping, the laundry…”
