Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Susan Bouachri gave a wonderful sermon at East Garden this past Sunday. It’s based on one of True Father’s speeches (see above) and points out that our goal is not to become religious (“religion is the repair shop”), but to become the people of God’s original ideal.

I was in the city at 43rd Street where Dr Ki Hoon Kim gave the message. He shared True Mother’s urging that we embrace and fulfill our responsibility. Later I gave the message for the Latino Ministry that meets on Sundays at 2 pm. I was very happy to see some new young faces!

I am sure by now you have heard the good news that True Mother will be visiting New York in May (22-24). It’s going to be a busy and exciting time for us. Our national witnessing campaign begins on May 3 and will conclude with True Mother’s visit.

Dr Balcomb is encouraging members to invest one week in one of the many witnessing campaigns that will be taking place around the USA. For our campaign here in NY we are going to need ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET! So if you think you could take some time off from your busy schedule and help in any way – it would be much appreciated. We need help in all areas: of course in witnessing, but also as hosts to the members who come to participate, we need kitchen help, greeters, teachers, councilors, help with transportation, literature, and much much more. If you can help please contact me.

Congratulations to Ten-Seng and Lan Kyoung – who had their first baby, Sophia, born on March 28. Along with James and Nathalie, who just had their second child, Jacob Evan, we are having a real baby boom

Let’s make the future for our 2nd and 3rd gen a great one!

Humor for the Week Popping Ears

Two Sides Most of us consider ourselves broadminded enough to admit that there are two sides to every argument. First and foremost, there is our side, and then there is the side that no reasonably intelligent, informed, sane, and self-respecting person could possibly hold.

Sunday Bulletin Announcements Community  Next Sunday, which is Easter Sunday, it will be a small group Community Sunday. Lunch will be served after service. In addition we can discuss the plans for decorating our space and on the possibility of a name change.

 GREAT NEWS: Ten Seng and Lan Kyoung have a new baby girl, Sophia. Born March 28, at 7:04 pm, 6 Ib 7 oz! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

 Next Sunday, (which is Easter): We will have our Small Group Community Service at Belvedere.

 Easter Egg Hunt and Lunch: PLANS HAVE CHANGED: lunch will be at the training center, and we will have the Easter Egg hunt there. There will be no fee for lunch. Prizes, Fun for all! . Please let me know if you can come by Friday, April 3rd so we know how many eggs and how much food we need. Contact: Lydia Compton.

Outreach  DP Monday night study at the White House: 7:30 pm

Prayer  Massimo Covone: is having surgery done to put in a shunt this coming Monday. They may have to go near the brain (there is a build up of fluids) – please pray for his recovery.

 Rev Esteban Galvan, our church leader in the Bronx is fighting to recover his strength after going through a serious illness.

 Jiau-Lan Weinstein – is fighting Lung Cancer. Her condition has grown worse.
