HERE IN AMERICA:

 There will be a special event in Las Vegas for young professionals on the weekend of Dec. 20-21 and an exciting 2 week witnessing/tour program for college age youth with True Mother. I don’t have all the details, but if you, or someone you know, is interested – please contact your local pastor.  All members are encouraged to make an offering before Dec 20, to support the building of the International Peace Education Center in Las Vegas. Helping to finance this building is one way we, as Americans, can demonstrate to True Mother our sincere commitment to put into practice the 2020 motto – “Let us become true owners.”

The Sermon this Week This week, at Belvedere, we did not have a sermon. Instead, we gathered in small discussion groups and read from the World Scripture book. The topic: God’s Word; Making it Real in My Life

Here are the readings: Hinduism; Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.6 Truth is victorious, never untruth. Truth is the way; truth is the goal of life, Reached be sages who are free from self-will.

Confucianism; Doctrine of the Mean 26 Absolute truth is indestructible. Being indestructible, it is eternal. Being eternal, it is self-existent. Being self- existent, it is infinite. … It is because it is infinite and eternal that it perfects all existence.

Qur’an 16.3 He has created the heavens and the earth with truth.

The reason is simple: God protects and helps anyone who follows God’s law because He wants to see His purpose of creation fulfilled. Hence, if we observe God’s law we will prosper. If we oppose God’s law and follow Satan’s law instead, we will perish, for God will strike us.

Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I hope you were able to listen to True Mother’s “Global Sunday Sermon” this past Saturday evening. If you missed it, you can read it at www.familyfed.org.

For me it was quite powerful; both True Mother’s words on the importance of becoming New Tribal Messiahs and also the testimony from the Asian Continental Director. We need to be confident, knowing that Heaven is with us at all times, and we need to be persistent in sharing the good news of True Parents and the Blessing, knowing that the walls of ignorance and indifference are, without a doubt, destined to come down.

This news is a bit late – but I want to shout out congratulations to Kensei and Sunhee Ito, on the birth of their new born baby daughter, Sunha Jane on August 6. Congratulations!

 Laura Nabetani is home! She now has a ramp! Thank you for your prayers.

 Jiau-Lan Weinstein (she is in Taiwan – and her situation has grown worse)

 Moses Kiely – 3 years old, grandson of Michael and Maria Kiely, diagnosed with leukemia AND now his daughter Inmay

is dealing with a serious heart condition. She was just released from a hospital in Boston and is doing better. Thank you for your prayers..

Testimonies/Reports

Last Saturday afternoon we held a small group discussion with guests in the backroom of the Panera Bread Restaurant in downtown White Plains. 5 members and 2 new guests participated. The topic was “What is True Love?” and the readings came from the World Scripture Book II.

Light Thought for the Day:

Generation Gap My five-year-old son and I were discussing some of the differences between his childhood and mine.

I pointed out that when I was young, we didn’t have things such as Nintendo, cellphones, computers or digital cameras.

I realized just how huge the generation gap was when he asked me: “Did you have fruit?”

Please make your donations before that time!  New Baby! Kensei and Sunhee Mudgett Ito have a new baby daughter. Her name is Sunah Jane Ito. She was born early, at 33 weeks, on August 6th and weighed 4 lbs 10 oz. She spent a couple weeks in the NICU but is doing great at home and has probably doubled her birth weight by now. CONGRATULATIONS Kensei and Sunhee!!!!! Prayer  Members are invited to come for prayer –On Tuesdays, 7 am, at the Central Park Holy Ground (call Rev Compton if you want a ride)  Laura Nabetani – is now at home, Thank you for your prayers  Jiau-Lan Weinstein – is in Taiwan, her cancer has grown worse  Michael and Maria’s grandson, Moses Kiely, is fighting leukemia and Inmay, their eldest daughter, has a serious heart condition. Other  Looking for a tenant for the bottom floor of our house. It has one bedroom, a living space, a kitchen, full bathroom, laundry, front door. If interested, please contact Kanae Holt
