SPECIAL DAYS FOR THE FAMILY FEDERATION WORLDWIDE:

 Happy 32nd Anniversary! To the 6,000 couples who were blessed in Korea in 1982.

 Next Week, Oct 21, is the 44th anniversary of the 777 Blessing Couples. CONGRATULATIONS!  Next Ahn Shi Il is on Thursday, October 16

HERE IN AMERICA:

 There will be a special event in Las Vegas (related to the International Peace Education Center) with True Mother on the weekend of Dec 20-21. I don’t have all the details, but if you can, please mark this date on your calendar – and do your best to make it possible for you to travel to Las Vegas.

 All members are encouraged to make an offering before Oct 20, to support the building of the International Peace Education Center in Las Vegas. Helping to finance this building is one way we, as Americans, can demonstrate to True Mother our sincere commitment to put into practice the 2020 motto – “Let us become true owners.”

Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to call attention to the fact that we are incredibly blessed to have True Mother here with us. And I am deeply grateful to Dr Kim (along with Dr Balcomb) for being our connection to True Mother.

Recently Dr Kim shared how True Mother, going through a very difficult course, made it possible for her two youngest daughters to receive the Blessing with the spouses that they had chosen. But it was not just True Mother, they also fulfilled a 40 day condition of education and offering.

I have heard some voices express criticism of this. Apparently True Mother did not uphold what some members believe to be the proper application of heaven’s “rules.” But if the rules are so important, who needs True Parents? We would just need the rules.

God is building a family, a family that is God’s own family. And in that family, although there are rules of conduct, more importantly there are parents who take ownership of the family centered on True Love. To be members of this family, we must be able to focus on our parents hearts – more than we focus on our personal interpretation of the rules.

For me, although I am sure True Parents may have hoped for a different course for their daughters, this is good news. It gives me hope that if one of my children were to choose to go their own way, there would be a path by which they could bring what they have to God’s side and receive God’s blessing.

We are pleased to announce that True Mother will officiate a Holy Marriage Blessing Ceremony in Chung Pyung, Korea on the morning of Tuesday, March 3, 2015. A simultaneous satellite broadcast of the ceremony in Korea will be available in the U.S. on Monday, March 2, 2015 evening. All matched couples, CIG Matching candidates, and married couples that have not yet received the Blessing of Marriage from True Parents, are invited to participate in this upcoming ceremony.

Blessing & Family Ministry  Reminder: The Japanese version of the Family Matching Handbook is now available.

Parents Matching Convocation • Oct. 24~26 • UTS

 There will be a National Parents Matching Convocation (PMC) at UTS, New York on October 24~26. The PMC is a great opportunity for parents to understand the Matching Process, learn from those who have matched their children successfully, network with other parents, and consider possible matching candidates. All parents of teenagers 17 and older should try to attend to familiarize and educate themselves about the process and their role and begin developing a family plan for matching their children.

 Registration – Save Money by Registering Early! To encourage prompt registration and facilitate planning and organization, participants can save money by registering early. You can pay directly online by credit card:

 EARLY BIRD Pay by October 10th: $120/individual; $200/couple; $80 for each additional family member

 Pay after October 10th: $150/individual; $240/couple; $90 for each additional family member

 Parenting Your Young Adult Child / October 27, 7-9 pm

The next two programs in the series will be held in November for members only and will focus on preparing for and navigating through, the matching process.

 Moses Kiely – 3 years old, grandson of Michael and Maria Kiely, diagnosed with leukemia AND now his daughter Inmay is dealing with a serious heart condition. She was just released from a hospital in Boston and is doing better. Thank you for your prayers..

 Shokichi Tamura is still in Phelps Hospital. He continues to fight a serious bacterial infection.

Light Thought for the Day:

New Baby When my wife came home from the hospital with our second baby, she hired Myrna, a live-in-nurse, to come along and help out for the first few weeks. Having read up on sibling rivalry, my wife watched our eighteen-month-old daughter Chelsey for signs of jealousy or insecurity. But Chelsey adored her little brother from the start.

She loved to help Myrna feed and bathe the baby. She even offered to share her toys. Several weeks passed and the mother of my two children, convinced that Chelsey was suffering no ill effects, decided she could manage without a nurse.

As she watched Myrna walk out to her car that last day, she heard an unmistakable cry of distress. “Myrna!” yelled Chelsey, running after her. “You forgot your baby!”
