Recognition of Injustice and Apology

IN NY District: We are conducting a series of local God’s Hope for America Rallies throughout the NY District.

This past week we had a great turnout in Queens (please see the testimony below).

Now we are preparing for a great event in Manhattan. It will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27. Everyone should meet at 4 W. 43rd Street at 12:30. Rally will begin close by at 1:00 pm. From 2 pm we will have a food and a program for guests at 4 W. 43 rd Street

AND IN WESTROCK: Divine Principle 1-Day workshop: Saturday, Oct. 4 at the White House, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm Divine Principle Study & Discussion: Mondays, 7:30 - 8:30pm at the White House.

Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Dear Brothers and Sisters

This past Saturday, thanks to the hard work of our brothers and sisters at HQ, we were all given an amazing opportunity to remember, to honor, and to celebrate our True Fathers’ life and all that he did for us, for God, and for all humanity. When I looked around the room and saw our family members – all different races, shapes, and ages, sharing the same incredible vision, I really felt we are blessed. Lydia and I brought 2 guests (long time friends of our movement) and they were both very uplifted by the whole experience.

One thing became clear to me – the best way I can honor and give thanks to our True Father is to support True Mother, and together with her to invest myself in the great task of building God’s ideal, “Cheon Il Guk, ” And that starts with me setting goals for myself each day, investing in my family – and then reaching out to the greater community and world.

And if you want to have a great experience of reaching out to others, this Saturday, Manhattan is sponsoring the God’s Hope for America Rally (members should meet at 4 W 43rd Street at 12:30 pm). Last week we had a great experience in Queens. Now come and join us and catch the spirit in Manhattan! The rally will start close to 43rd Street at 1:00 pm

This past Sunday Debby Gullery gave a wonderful sermon on “Getting to Where We Want to Go”. It’s about setting goals and moving forward in our life of faith. (see above).

Parents Matching Convocation • Oct. 24~26 • UTS

 There will be a National Parents Matching Convocation (PMC) at UTS, New York on October 24~26. The PMC is a great opportunity for parents to understand the Matching Process, learn from those who have matched their children successfully, network with other parents, and consider possible matching candidates. All parents of teenagers 17 and older should try to attend to familiarize and educate themselves about the process and their role and begin developing a family plan for matching their children.  Registration – Save Money by Registering Early! To encourage prompt registration and facilitate planning and organization, participants can save money by registering early. You can pay directly online by credit card:  EARLY BIRD Pay by October 10th: $120/individual; $200/couple; $80 for each additional family member  Pay after October 10th: $150/individual; $240/couple; $90 for each additional family member

National Marriage Enrichment Webinar Thursday, Sept. 25 • 9pm (EST)

 This month’s Marriage Enrichment Webinar will be presented by Debby Gullery on the topic “Marriage as a Spiritual Practice”, and will discuss a practical approach to spiritual growth within marriage. Debby is an experienced Relationship Coach and educator for marriage and family relationships.

Report on the God’s Hope for America Rally, September 21, 2014 Queens, NY The rally in Queens on this day, September 21, 2014 was a resounding success, considering this is the first in this borough in so many years and considering the fact that we had 6 guests who came over to listen to an educational program afterwards.

We had over 100 participants. The Spanish church in Manhattan, with the local Spanish Jackson Heights Church, along with the Queens Church joined forces together to make this an eventful program. We made a lot of noise, music, songs, and inspirational speeches from Rev. Compton, Rev. John Arias, Rev. John Kung, Rev. Tom Cutts, Rev. Miguel from the local center, Rev. Estaban Galvan, Rev Tanya Edwards (and her minister guest), along with a community lady pastor who prayed over the people gathered. It was a festive rally, honoring the UN International Day of Peace and God’s Hope for America extension tour. Many bystanders watched and some joined in the singing. Even the police offered to take pictures for us!

We sang God Bless America, Down by the Riverside, Higher Ground and All the Lands that I loved, along with a couple of Spanish songs which everyone joined in with Marina Falconi leading with her guitar. The main banner was made by Kenji Uokawa. As we gathered, one Spanish man was already interested and stayed with us until the end.

He came to the lecture and was very inspired. From the initial rally at 83rd Street and Roosevelt Ave., we marched on the sidewalks to 90 Street Triangle for another rally. This was one block away from the video center. Right after the rally, members witnessed around the neighborhood, inviting people to the video center for an inspirational talk, about the future of America, about why God blessed America so much.

The energy and vigor and enthusiasm this event generated in the members were palpable and refreshing. Many were eager to continue this kind of program, perhaps adding and improving on the overall program, which is visible, in your face, kind of event.
