Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Happy Chuseok Everyone!
Sometimes it is really a blessing to be in NY! That will be especially true on Saturday, September 20th.
On Saturday, Sept. 20 our national HQ has organized a special memorial for our True Father. Up until now, we haven’t really held a memorial that was open to the public – in which we could honor our True Father’s
incredible life and appreciate what he has done for us and for all humanity.
Let’s all take this as an opportunity to reach out to our family, friends (including those members who, for whatever reason, have distanced themselves from our church) and our contacts and invite them to join with us in this celebration. It is a time when we can go beyond our differences and simply express our love and appreciation to True Father.
On Saturday Sept. 13 - leading up the memorial there are going to be 2 events, 1) an ACLC prayer breakfast at Johnny Youngblood’s church in Brooklyn. And 2) a God’s Hope for America Rally in Brooklyn (see the announcements below for details)
Finally – please take a look at our new section on Blessing and Family Ministry by Debby Gullery.
And in the testimony section, Lynn Walsh shares about the UT workshop that was held. Thank you Lynn!
God Bless You and your Family! Let’s make it a great week! Andrew Compton

Testimonies/Reports Unification Thought Workshop (organized by, and report given by Lynn Walsh)
On Sept. 5 and 6 a Unification Thought workshop was enthusiastically attended by twelve young adults and several adults at the white house. Gerry Servito presented deep content about how God created each of us uniquely and with clear purpose, showing the universality of God’s principles as applied in many areas such as biology, physics, relationships, marriage, the arts, history and education. Uncle Gerry teaches with creativity, sincerity, personal examples and great passion, all of which makes his appreciation for Unification Thought quite contagious. When much of the world has lost its understanding of God and the purpose of life, UT offers clarity that is profound and much needed. One participant reflected that this knowledge will help them better filter the God-less perspective often taught in college classrooms. Because of the brevity of time Uncle Gerry could only touch on many of the issues. The main “complaint” heard in the reflections was “we want to hear more.”
If you have a testimony or report to share please send it to me.
Light Thought for the Day:
Flattering Clothes After giving birth, I couldn’t lose the 40 pounds I’d gained. So I dragged my husband to the mall in search of more flattering clothes.
We were encouraged by a sign over a rack of suits: “Instantly hides ten pounds!”
“Look,” he said. “You just need to buy four of these.”
