Pastor’s Weekly Greeting Greetings everyone!

My wife and I are back from the “God’s Hope for America Tour.” My wife was on from Miami to Minnesota and I was on from Boston to Minnesota.

It was a quite an amazing experience – of prayer, of reflection on True Father’s heart, life, and work of restoration, of redetermination, and of making an offering in unity with a wonderful team of brothers and sisters (all races and age groups) centered on True Parents and our national leader Dr Balcomb. (please pray for his strength – he is giving 100% at every stop).

I really wish more of you could have gotten a bigger taste of this experience. At the same time I am so grateful for all that you invested on July 17 when the God’s Hope for America Tour visited NY, You were incredible! At the 6 am prayer – I had thought maybe 100 members would be a reasonable goal – to show up at the Central Park Holy Ground. That morning I was counting the numbers and stopped counting when I reached 400, with still many more to go. Wow! I could feel how inspired God was!

Special thanks to those who took the day off and volunteered their services. I won’t try to name everyone, you know who you are. You’re the best!

Now our challenge is to keep our awareness up – of the Tour. The Tour, the members together with Dr Balcomb, are all still going – pushing themselves everyday to reach every Holy Ground.

Now our next job is to PRAY, and ask our Heavenly Parent for guidance – “what is our next step?” That is my

prayer and my constant thought.

Let’s Remember, Revive, and Re-imagine our future!

(In order to follow the Tour you can go to the website: godshopeforamerica.com, or the facebook page: “God’s Hope for America,” or you can search for updates on the internet by typing #godshopeforamerica into their search bar.)

Make it a great week!

God Bless You and your Family! Andrew Compton

Pastor’s Wife’s Greeting

Hello Brothers and Sisters!

My husband has asked me to share some testimony about my participation in the GOD”S HOPE FOR AMERICA Bus Pilgrimage.

As my husband told you, I joined the tour/pilgrimage in Miami, FL on July 6 th and continued until July 27th in Minneapolis, MN.

In each location, brothers and sisters gathered to meet the bus and join together with us in music, prayer, Hoon Dok readings, testimonies and many other special local offerings such as the Parent’s Day Award Ceremony at Belvedere, gospel choir performances and dramatic readings.

The main thing I realized through this experience was how little time I had been truly offering to God, Our Heavenly Parent and how selfish and lazy I had become over the years. Because the schedule on the bus was very full and because the focus of our efforts was entirely public, i.e. for the larger purpose—our spirits were allowed to grow tremendously. It was a steady diet of vitality elements from morning to night each day. We drank lots of physical and spiritual water so, had to stop at numerous roadside rest stops, where we gave out bookmarks to people in fifteen minute spurts. Our goal was 10/day and often we did more. This was a great chance to witness without all of the suffering side effects!

So, 21 days packed with love, truth, beauty and all things good and true penetrated my heart and soul and made me whole. I highly recommend it.

I feel completely transformed and am very much looking forward to talking with each one of you about my experience and about what I believe True Mother wants from us now. God bless you. Take care. IHPL- Lydia Compton

Light Thought for the Day:

At the Restaurant We took the family to one of those restaurants where the walls are plastered with movie memorabilia.

I went off to see the hostess about reserving a table. When I returned, I found my 10-year-old granddaughter staring at a poster of Superman standing in a phone booth. She looked puzzled.

“She doesn’t know who Superman is?” I asked my husband.

“Worse,” he replied. “She doesn’t know what a phone booth is.”
