Please read carefully

EVENT #1: 6:00 am at Central Park Holy Ground.

1) Park as close as possible to 5th Ave and 72nd Street. There is parking along 5th Ave on the East side of the street until 7:00 am. It is a 5 minute walk from there. So please park your car no later than 5:45 am

2) If you are going to stay beyond 7:00 am (for the breakfast) – you can park in the park at the Boat House. There is room there for about 22 cars. To get there, enter the park at 5th Ave and 72nd Street. Put your flashers on and drive slowly around the barrier. Follow the road as it bends to the right. You will go through 4 stop lights (about 300 meters). You will see the parking area on the left. (don’t hit any joggers)

Directions: We will meet at the Boat House at 5:50 am. Those parking on 5th Ave. and walking over, enter the park at 5th Ave on 72nd St. follow the directions given above (#2) You can just walk along the street as it bends to the right. Boat House is on the left in 300 yards.

Breakfast: if you want to join for breakfast – You need to email me your name so I can prepare enough food. We will serve bagels, cream cheese, juice.

EVENT #2: 9:00 am Welcome Rally near 9-11 Memorial Museum.

Where: on Barclay Street between Greenwich Street and West Street (one block from the 9-11 Memorial).

Directions: The best way to get there is to take the E train going downtown to the last stop (World Trade Center). When you come out of the subway, on Church Street, walk north one block to Barclay. Turn left and walk 2 blocks to Greenwich Street.

EVENT #3: 10:45 am “Ride for Peace” bicycling around central park

Members who like to ride bicycles – we are going to do a “Ride for Peace” around central park. Come with a bicycle, or you can rent one ($14 for one hour). Location – Tavern on the Green. Enter the Park from Central Park West (runs along the West side of the park) on 67th St. For more info, contact: Simon Kinney.

EVENT #4: 5:30 pm God’s Hope for America and Parents Day Celebration at Belvedere.

THIS IS A POT LUCK EVENT; everyone is asked to bring one dish – that can feed 10 or more people.

Bring a main dish If the birthday month of the Lady of the house is January, February, March,

Bring a side dish or salad if it is May, June, July, or August.

Bring a dessert, if it is September, October, November, or December.

Parking is at Belvedere: $10 per car.

Child Care and BBQ: is available at the Agora House on the Belvedere property for Kids (1st through 6th grade).

HELP NEEDED: (if you can volunteer contact Rev Compton) We need -

Someone with a mini-van to shuttle members from the Irvington Train Station from 5 pm

Help with set up and decorations at Belvedere (from 1 pm)

Help with Food Preparation (Wednesday evening)

For the Parents Day portion of the program: We are looking for Parents we can honor. Ask your clergy contacts to nominate one couple, or you can nominate a neighbor. For the application form, it was sent out – please check your email. Or ask your local pastor.
