Quote for the This past weekend the NY District Council had a ½ day meeting at the White House in Week Tarrytown. The Council is made up of the Pastor and local council representative from each . local church (Albany, Barrytown (including Kingston), Orange County, WestRock, Bronx, Announcements Manhattan (including Harlem & Brooklyn), Manhattan Latino, Queens, and Long Island). Rev Tom Corely from Long Island was chosen to be the chairperson of the council. The council then chose Noah Ross to be the NY District Rep to the National Council.
Much of our discussion focused on how we would celebrate and honor True Father’s 2nd Seong Wha anniversary and also plans for DP workshops and a District wide Sunday service at Camp Sunrise in June. (If you have ideas on these points – please bring them to your local pastor or council)
Locally – here in WestRock, I am very happy to announce that our council has decided to bring Debby Gullery onto our staff. She will be responsible for the Family/Care Ministry. With her experience and with your support and participation – I now that we can accomplish a lot this year in becoming a community of healthy families. And more than that, I know she can help us develop a ministry to care for our guests in a better, more productive way.
Please take note in the announcements that we will have an Easter Egg hunt/BBQ at the White House on April 19, we will have a 1-Day DP seminar on April 26, and registration is open for the Hudson River Fishing Contest.

True Mother is in Hawaii. I heard she will be going back to Korea soon. The 20-20 Providence has begun! WestRock and Upstate have been paired with
the Solomon Islands and Italy. Metro NY and Long Is have been paired with Nepal and Israel.

At this meeting Rev Compton will be sharing a short video and report concerning outreach success stories The 2014 Peace King Cup Fishing Tournament is Here! We are happy to announce the 2014 Fishing Tournament held in honor of True Parents’ 54th Holy Wedding Anniversary, May 3 ~ May 16, 2014. Fishing will take place on the Hudson River and adjacent bays in NY and NJ area. We welcome individuals and groups from churches, clubs and businesses; bring your family and friends! Register for the tournament and fish on your own, or join us on an Ocean Church vessel. We can accommodate 14 anglers each weekday, and more on the weekends. Tournament Dates: May 3 Morning ~ May 16 Midnight
Designated Fishing Area: From Half Moon Bay on the Hudson near Croton, NY to the New
York lower bay including Raritan Bay Entry Fee: $40 per participant, including children. Participants can fish as often as they want
during the tournament period with the one-time fee.
Other The father of Tadahisa and Mishiko Kumagai (1800 couple, daughter Mia) passed away on March 18th, 2014 (9pm Japan Time). He was 67 years old. Please pray for his smooth transition to the spiritual world. His Seonghwa ceremony was held in Japan on March 22nd
Prayer Laura Nabetani – she is out of the ICU, and now in a nursing home. Jiau-Lan Weinstein – she continues her fight with lung cancer
