WestRock Family Church News for October 27, 2013

CONGRATULATIONS to our True Mother!!! And to our brothers and sisters in Japan. I hope you had a chance to watch the rally that was held last Sunday at the Peace Stadium in Cheonpyeong. I could feel True Mother’s unity with True Father. Like him, she is very clear as to where we need to go. We can be confident that as we unite with her, through our prayers and our daily effort, God’s providence is going to move forward. Aju!
Soon you will be receiving a letter conveying the progress of our Pastor’s search committee. The raising up of new and younger leadership is a key element of True Mother’s directions. I am grateful to Dr. Donna Ferrantello for taking on the position of chairperson. I am sure she will do a great job. Please give her and the members of the committee your support and encouragement. And let’s all pray that our WestRock community can connect with the person that heaven is preparing for us.
Last weekend a small group of us had a beautiful walk up to the top of Bear Mountain – and yes we made it to the top in time to see the sunrise. It is a beautiful time of the year to take a walk – and it’s good for our health. We all need to learn from TP’s example and take time to exercise each day.
Please take note that this Sunday we will be celebrating the 54th True Children’s Day and the 26th Foundation Day for the Unified Nation of Heaven and Earth. We will have a 7:00 am pledge and hoondok reading at Belvedere. We will share the offering table with everyone at Sunday Service.
Finally I want to thank Justin for his sermon this Sunday – he spoke about the importance of dealing with our “han.” Building a healthy heavenly community is not just about sharing nice things with each other, we also have to deal with our pain and damaged hearts. If you did not hear the sermon – you can hear it on the link listed below.
Let’s end October well and determine ourselves to make November great!
God Bless You
Andrew Compton

Looking for Room or Apartment: My husband, Kester, and I are looking to move to around the Tarrytown area. He started working in Pleasantville, NY with Savin Engineers and I am still in school at Columbia University, so moving into Westchester county would be ideal for us. Do you know anyone renting a room or apartment in the area? We don’t have any pets and would available to move in from Dec. 15th.
MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK!!
