A dinner was held at Belvedere in their honor. Archbishop Ki Hoon Kim, Dr Balcomb, Neil Salonen, John Hessel, and Rev Kamiyama spoke.

Besides all of that, my wife and I were given the opportunity to offer a prayer at the matching ceremony of Leneth Borneman and Yunji Kim. It was absolutely beautiful – a taste of the Kingdom of God. As I listened to them share their vows with each other, and hear the words and tears coming from the parents – in that moment I could see the incredible fruit of our True Parents. The home, the surroundings, they were as humble as could be, but it was the living Ideal of Creation; a young man and woman, with the support, love, and blessing of their parents, pledging unchanging love to one another – centered on our Heavenly Parent and our True Parents. Isn’t this the ideal that God and all the saints of history have been longing for? Our blessed families are really blessed! With this knowledge and blessing we can save the world.

What is the sad news? This Sunday at the end of service we bid farewell to 3 families, The young Gullerys (Toby and Sunny – headed for Indiana), the Veiths (Gary and Gail headed for hometown, Barbados), and the Selovers (Tom and Grace – headed for Korea).

Brothers and Sisters, lets prepare these next few days, internally and externally, for the celebration of our True Father’s Seong Hwa anniversary.

Providential News

 True Mother is in Korea.  The 20-20 Providence has begun! We are now in a 100 day period of devotion leading up the anniversary of True Father’s ascension, to share the DP with others – and to inspire them to work with us to build God’s Kingdom!  The 1 Year Anniversary of True Father’s Seong Hwa will be on Friday August 23. (We are planning to send out the information so that you can view through the internet on Thursday evening Aug 22) Check with your local pastor for plans celebration plans in your church

Outreach  DP/Bible Study/Discussion Small Group: Every Monday & Fridays, 7:30PM at the White House.  National HQ has put together a new website just for guests. The site is: www.dplife.info Please check it out.  Bookmarks for Peace: Bookmark making party with BBQ, Saturday, Aug 24 at the White House. Everyone is welcome! Starts at 10 am, BBQ at 12 noon – followed by volley ball and other activities.  Memorial Service for True Father: Saturday, Sept 7 we will hold a service that you can invite guests to (clergy, ambassadors for Peace, and other contacts) to honor our True Father’s 1 year ascension anniversary. It will take place at Belvedere, beginning at 10 am. It will include a brunch. Registration fee - $10. Community  Aug 23 is the 1 year anniversary of True Father’s Ascension. There will be a special celebration in Korea on that day. In our community we will be holding a special Sunday Service at East Garden on Aug. 25.  Aug 25 Photo Contest; Everyone is encouraged to enter the photo contest ($100 first prize) o The theme is “JOY,” o One photo per person o It must be a photo that you took o Email a photo or drop the photo off at the White House (5x7 or larger)
