Light Thought for the sermons. day At this time I would like to share 2 things – . Testimony 1) On the first day – we spent time looking at ourselves, reflecting on our strong . Providential News and weak points. And, we examined our resentments. We were encouraged to look back at our lives – to find any lingering or hidden resentments that we . Quote for the Week may still possess within us. At first I figured, “I don’t need this. I don’t have any resentment.” But after taking some time to reflect, I realized how important this exercise is. If we want to move forward we need to forgive one . Announcements another, we need to let go of the past, and we need to love one another just as God loves us.

2) During one of Dr Balcombs’ presentations he shared three points that True Mother has been emphasizing. a. Each of us needs to pick one aspect of True Father’s legacy – and then invest our utmost effort to make that grow. b. Church growth is everything (right? If we are growing all the problems will be solved – whatever we need to do can be done.) c. This is the age of “Yin” – God’s feminine side.

On Sunday I was able to visit our church community in Kingston. That was a wonderful experience. This is a church that was just recently planted. Abdou and Mara Gaye are the pastor couple. Dr Tyler Hendricks was the sermon giver this Sunday – he gave a beautiful sermon on love. They have a small but beautiful community of families in Kingston. I am excited to see how they will develop.

Light Thought for the Day

Soccer Carpool

For the second time in a row, I was forced to impose on the woman with whom I carpooled to our children’s soccer practices. I phoned and explained that my husband had the car again, so I wouldn’t be able to take my turn. A few minutes before she was due to pick up my son, my husband showed up.

Since it was too late for me to call and say I could drive after all, I asked my husband to hide the car in the garage and to stay inside. I also explained to my son that he shouldn’t mention anything about his father’s whereabouts.

Unfortunately, my husband forgot and was in front of our house chatting with a friend when my carpool partner arrived. When my son returned from practice, I asked him if she had noticed.

“Yes,” he replied, “she asked me which of the two men in front of the house was my father. But don’t worry. I told her I didn’t know.”

That’s right, Camp Sunrise will re-open this summer with a complete program of sleep-over summer camps for elementary, junior high, and high school age children as well as weekly Day Camps.
