One idea my wife Lydia had, that we are trying here at the White House in Tarrytown, is to organize a public yard sale. She made some simple invitations and . Light Thought went around to our neighbors and invited them to join us – to make it a multi-family for the day yard sale. Several responded – and we are looking forward to working with them – and to get to know them better. . Testimony There are a couple of big events coming up that you may want to invite guests to. On Sunday May 26 we will have a Spring Festival at Belvedere. It will begin . Providential at 12 noon and continue to 5 pm. There will be music, food, dancing, a bake News contest, relay races and prizes, face painting, and much more. . Quote for the On Saturday June 8 we will have a 1-Day DP seminar for members and guests. Week Everyone who attends can sleep over, the following day we will join together for the District Sunday service. . Announcements
On Sunday June 9, True Day of All Things we will have a District wide service at Camp Sunrise. (Dr Michael Balcomb is scheduled to speak) Service will be at 10:30 am. Afterwards there will be outdoor activities (fishing, boating, sports, etc.)
Finally, I want to encourage our small groups. Please consider the 5 essential areas - and check yourselves: 1) Love God, 2) Care for one another, 3) Growth through God’s word, 4) Contribute to the greater community, and 3) Expand your group – take steps to share with others the good things that you are gaining through your group.
