Era of the Victory, Liberation, and Completion of April 7, 2013 the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind
Weekly Greeting Table of Contents Dear Brothers and Sisters,
. Weekly greeting Greetings! HAPPY TRUE PARENTS’ DAY!!! and Testimonies And happy April! I think spring has finally arrived. . Sermon Notes This past Sunday I had the joy of visiting our community in Orange County (they meet . Light Thought for at the Horse Farm in Port Jervis, NY). What a fantastic group. Each family stood up the day and introduced themselves – and each family member shared about their interests, talents, and ambitions. I was amazed! I could feel how much our Heavenly Parent loves . Testimony each of us and is rooting for each of us. Thank you to Dorit Smith – who is the pastor for Orange County. And congratulations on the choosing of a name, “Orange County . Providential News (OC) Family Church.”
. Quote for the This past Saturday all the local pastors of the NY District got together at the White House in Tarrytown for a meeting that I thought was very fruitful. Here are some of the Week things we covered: . Announcements 1) Everyone shared on the topic – What is the significance of Foundation Day for you? Among the responses: a. There are signs in the news that things are getting better in the world. In addition – the resigning of the Pope (first time in 600 years) and the extreme weather are signs that something is happening spiritually b. “My love life (with my spouse – of course) is getting a lot better!” c. “I find it is easier for guests to receive the DP.” d. “I feel a sense of God’s liberation – very hopeful for the future” e. It is a time to go back to the basics – of teaching the DP. Value the grace we have been given by TP. “my family has begun evening meetings with prayer and reading.” f. “I am reminded of why I joined – the DP. The history of restoration is completed and the victory of God and TP will forever remain. g. It is still painful – we are taking of the old skin, like peeling an onion. h. The foundation has been laid – now we can start to build the house. i. It’s a new time: discovery rather than recovery, grace rather than race, less worry and more glory, its not a dream – the reality is that members are happier. It’s time to make our personal story. j. “I repent I could not bring more people to Foundation Day.” k. Great blessing! Training time is over, now it is our time as families. l. “I feel gratitude to TP. They sacrificed everything. What needs to be done is going to take hard work – its not going to be automatic.” m. We did many conditions. Now we can go forward with the DP, God’s word. 2) We also discussed the meaning of Tribal Messiahship a. To be an owner of true love b. Like Moses, except that we know what God is doing.
c. You must find Cain to protect your tribe d. Position of Jesus – but we have the better fortune of having received the Blessing e. Satan cannot accuse us f. Check out Black Eyed Peas, “One Tribe on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoFKE4cdi70 g. Life style of attendance. Daily Hoondokae. Need balance between theory and action h. If you sacrifice for your Cain Tribe (those who are not members of your family) it will always bring benefit. i. Facebook is a great tool for Tribal Messiahship j. Your tribal members do not have to become Unificationists. They can join Family Federation and remain as they are (ie Moslem, Buddhist, Catholic) k. Visit your tribe (members) in their homes l. The way to grow your tribe is to live so that others want to be with you and want to be like you. 3) We heard 2 testimonies a. “I had no time to visit people and give out the Autobiography, because of my work schedule. Finally, I knew I had to do something and I went out late at night, after work to visit the workers at late night gas stations. Some of them are students trying to earn extra money. Now I have some good contacts who are reading the Autobiography and who are looking forward to my visits.” b. “I, and my family, work together. We begin by inviting them to our home – we do so in order to make them feel like part of our family. These are not people off the street – they are friends of our friends or parents of our kids’ friends. They eat with us and share with us – and then my husband teaches them DP lectures. Several have joined and have been blessed. And it was not a burden. They have each been a blessing for our family – often coming over to help us when help is needed.” 4) What actions steps can we take? a. Make our worship service (including sermons) better. Create a more embracing and inspiring atmosphere on Sundays. b. When you go out – whenever possible, go with someone. God and spirit world work better through that dynamic. c. Hold introductory cultural events that members can more easily bring guests to. d. Pass out DVDs with DP lectures on them e. Improve our ability to care for others. For this the micro church (a program for training chaplains was introduced) f. Create a web site for the NY District where new guests can learn about us, who we are and what we believe. g. Write down the names of everyone you know. All those who are not blessed couples (unless they are your children) – are the members of your tribe.
Let’s make it a great week. Get involved with your local ministry, connect with your pastor, and ask your Heavenly Parent for inspiration – “What can I do, what steps can I take, to become a better tribal messiah than I was yesterday?”
God Bless You Andrew Compton
Sorry, I don’t have recorded sermons from last Sunday
Light Thought for the Day
My sisters and I have weight problems and are always sharing diet tips. One day my oldest sister was showing us a low-fat cookbook and pointed out a chicken dish she had tried the night before.
Reading the ingredients, I commented, “It looks like it would taste really bland.”
“It did,” she replied, “until I added cheese and sour cream.”
Testimonies/reports
See the testimonies in the weekly greeting. If you have a testimony or report to share please send it to me.
