. Testimony I heard good news about the middle school workshop at 43rd Street – a big thank you to Toby Gullery and Yasu Yukawa and all who helped to make it happen. . Providential I would like to share with you a brief testimony. News

I was in communication with several members who were struggling about recent . Quote for the decisions by True Mother - “Why did she make this decision and that decision? Why Week is she making these changes?” They were second guessing her - thinking that she had been politically influenced or motivated. . Announcements

In response, I shared with them what I had learned from the recent District Pastor’s conference in Las Vegas - that True Mother has been meeting on a daily basis, every morning, with Dr Yang and Peter Kim - receiving reports and giving guidance for the providence - with special attention given to Korea, Japan, and the USA.

Most importantly (as Dr. Yang shared with us), whenever there was uncertainty, True Mother would excuse herself and go to pray in the room where True Father had prayed and meditated. Afterwards she would return with clear guidance.

The members with whom I was talking were surprised to hear this - and I was

surprised to learn that they had not received this report. It turned out to be very helpful to them - to know that True Mother is in fact receiving and actively seeking guidance from True Father as she makes her decisions and gives directions.

As we all know, sometimes God, our Heavenly Parent, gives directions that we don’t at first understand or cannot explain. I remember when I held the position of state leader in West Virginia; True Father suddenly choose a few of us – and changed our missions. He sent us to join the national mobile fundraising team (MFT). That was hard to swallow at the time. I had all kinds of questions and doubts in my mind. But in the end I took it as the will of God – and, as you can probably guess, it became one of the great learning experiences of my life.

We need to understand clearly who our True Parents are – and with that understanding, trust in the decisions that they make – that our Heavenly Parent is fully there. That unity of heart with True Parents is the key element in our creating a healthy growing community of faith in which we can be transformed and through which we can change the world.

Finally – have you been communicating with your family and the people you know? Did you make phone calls this past week - just to ask them how they are doing and to express your sincere interest?

Light Thought for the Day

Actual announcements taken from church bulletins (fortunately, not ours):

* Don’t let worry kill you, let the church help.

* Thursday night, potluck supper. Prayer and medication to follow.

* Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and community.

* For those of you who have children and don’t know it, we have a nursery

* The rosebud on the altar this morning is to announce the birth of David Alan Belzer, the sin of Rev. and Mrs. Julius Belzer.

* This afternoon there will be a meeting in the South and North ends of the church. Children will be baptized at both ends.

* Tuesday at 4:00 pm there will be an ice cream social. All ladies giving milk will please come early.

* Wednesday, the ladies Liturgy Society will meet. Mrs. Jones will sing “Put Me in My Little Bed” accompanied by the pastor.

* Thursday at 5:00 pm there will be a meeting of the Little Mothers Club. All wishing to become little mothers, please see the minister in his study.

* This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the altar.

* The service will close with “Little Drops of Water”. One of the ladies will start, and the rest of the congregation will join in.

* Next Sunday a special collection will be takento defray the cost of the new carpet. All those wishing to do something on the new carpet will come forward and do so.

* The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind and they may be seen in the church basement on Friday.

* A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.

* At the evening service tonight, the topic will be “What is Hell?”. Come early and listen to our choir practice.

Providential News

 True Mother is planning on coming to Las Vegas soon. April 10 is True Parents Day. We will have an offering table and ceremony at 7:00 am at Belvedere.

Outreach  Every Monday night – we will be conducting a Divine Principle/Bible Study session at the White House. Everyone is welcome – and you can bring a friend. Time – 7:30 pm.  WFWP Lunch and Learn: Sunday April 21 at the White House at 12pm.  Outreach Meeting: We welcome all members to join us today Sunday, March 31st, for lunch & meeting at 12pm at the White House. This is for everyone who is interested in participating in outreach activities.

 True Parents Day (54th): Wednesday April 10. We are planning a 7:00 am service at Belvedere.  Camp Sunrise Summer Camps Are Back! That’s right, Camp Sunrise will re-open this summer with a complete program of sleep-over summer camps for elementary, junior high, and high school age children as well as weekly Day Camps. To register and/or obtain more information about these camps, go to the BFA website found at www.blessedfamilies.org and click on “sponsored programs.” Please try to register early!  Prayer Continues for Jiau-Lan Weinstein: she is still fighting to overcome cancer.

 Also please pray for Laura Nabetani: her condition seems to have worsened some more, let our prayers give her strength.

The Artwork of Shinyoung C. Simonds:

Children’s picture book illustrator and abstract landscape artist, Shinyoung is

exhibiting her work for sale at the Scarsdale Art and Frameshop at 46 Christie Place, Scarsdale, New York, for the month of April. Their store hours are Mon-Fri 9am- 5:30pm every day except Sunday. Please feel free to tell your friends to bring their pocket books!

She is currently accepting commissions for private work and book illustrations. A native to Toronto, Canada, Shinyoung is an Irvington, New York resident and a second-generation member of the Westrock Family Church. She is blessed to Stephen Simonds.
