Announcements With God’s Day, (Sunday Feb 10) just around the corner and Foundation Day less than one month away, I encourage everyone to invest with your utmost sincerity in preparing your heart – through prayer, reflection, Hoondokae, and all the various activities by which we love one another.
God’s Day will be celebrated locally in each church on Sunday, Feb 10. At that time we will be conducting the Holy Wine ceremony in preparation for Foundation Day. Everyone is invited to attend this special Holy Wine ceremony.
I want to make it clear to everyone that we will celebrate Foundation Day on Thursday evening, Feb. 21 (NOT on FEB 22). Metro NY, Long Is, and WestRock will celebrate at the Double Tree Hotel in Tarrytown. Up-State NY will meet at UTS in Barrytown.
I encourage those couples who would like to go to Korea, but cannot because of finances, to apply for a scholarship. We cannot cover everything – but we do have the scholarship donations that Brothers and Sisters have been sending in. If you would like to apply for funds, send me an email. I need your name and your spouse’s name and the name of your local church pastor. I also need to know how much you can contribute towards your ticket (it should be at least half – currently you can get tickets for $1200). The church can’t give money directly to anyone, but we can purchase tickets.
As you may have heard True Mother is encouraging us to teach God’s word - as much as possible, day and night. It will enrich and strengthen us – and it will transform those to whom it is given. With True Father’s passing to the spirit world let’s not ease up in our determination, but prepare ourselves so that we can make a strong beginning on Foundation Day and beyond. This is a good time to reach out to our friends and neighbors in the church in order to brain storm, discuss, and develop strategies as to how we can support each other so that we can take more initiative in promoting and accomplishing God’s will.
Let’s continue to work together for the victory of our Heavenly Parents!
