FFWPU Honors Foundation Day & Birthday of Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han

[Dong-A Ilbo] Ki-Seong Lee, President of FFWPU Korea: ‘In order to realize a world of peace, we will put effort into True Family Activities and Blessing Activities.’

During the 18th and 28th of next month, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) will hold various events, along with the Foundation Day and the birthday celebration of Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han.

The newly appointed Church President Ki-Seong Lee (picture) said the following during a meeting on the 30th day of the month, “In order to realize a world of peace, we will put effort into True Family Activities and Blessing Activities. We will fulfill the mission of this era’s religious people, which is to resolve the frustration and pain of our neighbors caused by alienation, through practicing true love.

The progress of the main events is as follows: - Birthday Celebration of President Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han (February 21), - Commemoration Ceremony of the 5th Foundation Day (February 28), - International Leaders Conference (February 18-21), International Conference of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (February 19), - Presentation Ceremony of the HJ World Peace Foundation Scholarship (February 24), - Exhibition of the Lifetime Achievements of President Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han (February 20-28).

Around 450 parliamentarians from 70 countries are expected to attend the International Leadership Conference. The conference, with the title “The Vision and Role of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP) Centering on the Settlement of Peace on the Korean Peninsula,” will be held in the Council Chamber of the National Assembly Member’s Office building, Yeongeungpo-gu, in Seoul, on the 19th of next month at 3:00 p.m.

President Lee explained about the results of Dr. Han’s recent visit to Senegal and said, “We will put great effort into carrying out missionary work in the continent of Africa.” He also affirmed that “Large-scale events in the Republic of South Africa and throughout South America are already scheduled.”…
