[Newsis] Third Anniversary of Rev.Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa…Family Federation, Love Sharing Global Worship Service Starting on October 4 in Busan

The “2015 Third Anniversary of the Universal Seonghwa Love Sharing Global Worship Service” to commemorate the Third Anniversary of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification’s Rev.Sun Myung Moon’s (1920~2012) Seonghwa was held at the Second Exhibition Hall of the Bexco Convention Hall in Busan on October 4 from 10:30 AM.

This is the second Global Worship service held in the Yong Nam region following the first Global Worship service held in Seoul for the capital area on September 12.

At this service, 500 people, including members and peace ambassadors, gathered from the five district churches in Yong Nam Region (Kyeong Nam, Kyong Buk, Daegu, Ulsan, Busan, etc) and pledged to practice the peace teachings and true love taught by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han.

Kyong Buk District Church Leader Jang-Jin Jin offered the representative prayer, “Yong Nam will become the region that realizes North-South Korean Unification and makes this a national religion by

fulfilling the mission of heavenly tribal messiahship and loving God. I pray that you can work with us and guide us so that we can start a powerful four-year course.”

Family Federation Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Lu delivered his speech entitled, “God’s Longing” saying, “I feel pure love through your bright smiles and I can see Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han in that love. Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han are the only driving force that allows us to live lives centered on God’s Will.”

He then emphasized, “We must no longer live in the past. Now is the time when we must lead new lives. We must realize Cheon Il Guk, and testify to Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han’s peace message and activities as blessed families filled with love, as heavenly tribal messiahs and as a Family Federation filled with hope.”

The Family Federation is expected to host its third Global Worship service in the Jung Bu region on October 25, and its fourth one in the Ho Nam region on November 1.

Furthermore, churches and peace cultural centers affiliated with the 22 church headquarters nationwide will organize bazaars, rice love donation collections and presentations, help adolescent breadwinners and carry out volunteering activities until the day of the Global Worship service in the Ho Nam region…

The “2015 Third Anniversary of the Universal Seonghwa Love Sharing Global Worship Service” to commemorate the Third Anniversary of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification’s Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa was held at the Bexco Convention Hall in Busan on October 4 where one thousand members from the Yong Nam region attended.

On the one hand, this service serves to pay respects on the occasion of the Third Anniversary of Rev. Moon’s Seonghwa, and on the other hand, it was held to collect “love donations” to help out less fortunate neighbors.

Family Federation Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Lu delivered his speech entitled, “God’s Longing.” “A while ago, I was touring small local family churches when I met a mother from a multicultural family carrying her child on her back and doing witnessing activities. Despite her being busy with the activities, she gave me a warm smile. At that moment, it made me think of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s true love. What would drive her to come to a foreign land far from home, leave her family behind, marry a Korean and live in the country side here? People find it hard to understand her, but I think she puts aside all her personal desires and lives a difficult, selfless life in order to realize the true family and world of peace that Rev. Moon spoke of.”

President Lu acknowledged the hard work of past members, “In the 1950-1960s, many of the first members put their children in orphanages and went out to witness on the frontline in order to realize the will of God. I believe that the worldwide foundation of the Unification Church today was founded upon the tears of these people.”

President Lu ended, “Rev. Sun Myung Moon, humankind’s True Parent, who barely slept and devoted his entire life to true love and world peace, passed away three years ago; but I feel that he misses us very much and is with us here today. Let us all inherit Rev. Moon’s spirit of “living for the sake of others” and realize a world overflowing with true love and true peace by 2020.”

Before the service began, a video was shown with content about the different activities held during the past month to commemorate the Third Anniversary of Rev. Moon’s Seonghwa, such as the first Sunhak Peace Prize Award Ceremony and Peace Road. They also paid respect altogether by watching a recording of “Omma Ya Nuna Ya,” which Rev. Moon loved singing when he was alive. Representing the members, Jong-Won Go and Bong-Im Kim recited a poem dedicated to True Parents which pulled the heart strings of all those listening…
