The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification revealed on October 2 that it would host the “Leader’s Banquets for the Victory of Third Anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa” in major cities nationwide starting on October 4.
Carrying along Rev. Moon’s peace legacy, the Leader’s Banquet with the theme, “Let us connect the world through peace!” started at the Art Hall on the third floor of the Busan Lotte Hotel on the October 4, and will be held at the Castle Hotel in Suwon on the 15th, the Libera Hotel in Daejeon on the 17th, the Interble Hotel in Daegu on the 18th, the Jamsil Lotte Hotel in Seoul on the 23rd and the Kim Dae Jung Convention Center in Gwanju on November 1. Congressmen, city mayors, heads of groups and organizations and other regional leaders are expected to attend.
This banquet serves to invite the regional community leaders on the occasion of the Third Anniversary of Rev. Moon’s Seonghwa in order to share Rev. Moon’s passion and ideology for peace. It is also with hope that we share the pain of the Korean people as they observe the 70th year of division and open a new era of peace and unification.
Rev. Moon was born in 1920 in Pyeong Bok, Jeong-Ju and established the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity in Korean in 1954. He then sent missionaries to 194 nations, thereby developing it into a worldwide religious order. He contributed to global humanity by devoting his entire life to world peace and religious reconciliation, humanitarian relief work and ending Communism. On September 3, 2012, he passed away (Seonghwa) at the age of 93. 250,000 members came to Korea to pay their respects and mourn at his Seonghwa ceremony, which was held over 13 days. He has left us physically, but as our spiritual teacher, his teachings live on forever in humankind…
