Reporting the Third Seonghwa Memorial of Rev. Sun Myung Moon

On the evening of September 4, the Maintenance Foundation of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (Tongil Group) held the “Banquet and Reporting Session on the Third Seonghwa Memorial of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind” at the Crystal Ballroom on the second floor of the Sogong-dong Lotte Hotel in Seoul.

The event was held to commemorate the Third Seonghwa Memorial of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the late founder of the FFWPU, and more than 600 participants, including a member of the Supreme Council of the Saenuri Party Eul-Dong Kim, the Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations Tae-Ik Chung and those involved in the affiliated companies of the Tongil Group, FFWPU and Universal Peace Federation were in attendance.

In his Opening Remarks, the Chairman of the Tongil Group Yung-Gi Choi said, “On marking the Third Seonghwa Anniversary, the achievements of Rev. Sun Myung Moon were reviewed and revalued through commemorative events such as the ‘Sunhak Peace Prize,’ ‘PEACE ROAD 2015,’ ‘The Global Journey’ and ‘World Summit 2015.”

In his Condolatory Remarks, Supreme Council member Eul-Dong Kim stated, “On marking the Third Seonghwa Anniversary, various activities were held to commemorate Rev. Moon’s thought of peace.” He then confirmed, “I shall inherit the legacy of Rev. Moon’s thought of peace and surely establish a peaceful world of one human family.”

The Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations Tae-Ik Chung said, “I may not be capable enough, but I will always do my best.” He then emphasized, “I will keep moving forward to complete the Peace Roads including the Bering Strait Tunnel and the Japan-Korea Undersea Tunnel.”

Along with this, Rev. Moon’s achievements for Korean reunification was revalued through the condolence message sent by the First Secretary of North Korea Kim Jong-Un and the wreath sent by the Chairman of Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee Kim Yang-Gon

The Maintenance Foundation of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity

On September 4, in commemoration of the Third Universal Seonghwa Memorial of the late founder of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (hereafter FFWPU) Rev. Sun Myung Moon (August 30), the Maintenance Foundation of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (hereafter Tongil Group) held the “Banquet and Reporting Session on the Third Seonghwa Memorial of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind” at the Crystal Ballroom on the second floor of the Sogong-dong Lotte Hotel in Seoul with more than 600 VIPs in attendance.

A member of the Supreme Council of the Saenuri Party Eul-Dong Kim, the Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations Tae-Ik Chung and other VIPs from affiliated companies of the Tongil Group, FFWPU and Universal Peace Federation participated in this event and praised the achievements of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s activities for world peace.

The event started with the opening declaration by the emcee Ho-Yol An, the Director General of the Convention Cooperation Headquarters of the Tongil Group and was followed by a silent tribute, a video of the Third Universal Seonghwa Memorial and glorification. Opening remarks by the Chairman of Tongil Group Yun-Gi Choi, Condolatory Remarks by Saenuri Party Supreme Council member Eul-Dong Kim and Council on Foreign Relations Chairman Tae-Ik Chung were followed by FFWPU Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Lu’s introduction on the activities related to the Third Universal Seonghwa Memorial. A banquet was held after the victory proposal by the Chairman of Sun Moon University, Sun- Jo Hwan.

The participants took the time to honor Rev. Moon’s memory by watching a video of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s life course he lived for the sake of true love and world peace. The Cheongshim Choir’s beautiful melody of “Ironara (Wake Up)” and medley of songs Rev. Moon enjoyed singing in life including “Saranghae (I love you)” and “Hol-ro Arirang (Arirang Alone)” moved the participants’ hearts.

The Chairman of the Tongil Group Yung-Gi Choi said, “On marking the Third Seonghwa Anniversary, the achievements of Rev. Sun Myung Moon were reviewed and revalued through commemorative events such as the “Sunhak Peace Prize,” “PEACE ROAD 2015,” “The Global Journey” and “World Summit 2015,” and conveyed his gratitude to the participants.

The Memorial Ceremony became an opportunity for people to rediscover Rev.
