The “Peace Road 2015, The Global Journey,” which started in Las Vegas, USA in May, and was carried out in 120 nations throughout the world in dedication toward Korean reunification and world peace, completed its long journey at the Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul.

As the high-stakes negotiation between North and South Korea reached a dramatic settlement, 500 representative youth from 120 nations ended their 93-day saga across the world as they arrived at theGwanghwamun Square in Seoul, the final destination of their long journey.
After their arrival, they held the “Peace Road 2015” Completion Ceremony and expressed their longing for Korean reunification and world peace.
The Global Journey was an epic journey of 93 days in hope of unification, which started at the Cape of Good Hope of South Africa on May 30, and has ventured through the Middle East – Europe route and the Santiago, Chile – Central America – North America – Japan route, reaching its final destination on the Korean peninsula.
More than 300,000 people from 120 nations of the world took part in the Peace Road Global Journey. 30,000 people participated in the actual journey spanning 30,000 kilometers by bicycle, car, etc.
Most notably, the participants from 120 nations sang the “Song of Unification” in chorus as they held the “DMZ ceasefire line cutting” performance and prayed for the reunification of Korea, the last divided nation on earth.
Furthermore, the Peace Road participants held the “International Symposium for Advancing World Peace and Korea’s Unification” at the main conference room of the National Assembly Member’s Office.
In this symposium, Ho-Young Joo of the Saenuri Party and Hun Seol of the New Politics Alliance for Democracy delivered congratulatory remarks; and notable figures such as Christopher Hill, the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, took part.
The Peace Road project was founded on the basis of the “International Peace Highway” project proposed by Rev. Sun Myung Moon at the 10th International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences in 1981, and aims to resolve world disputes and conflicts and thus, bind humanity as one family to open up an era of peace through connecting the world into one transport network
