More than 5,000 youths from around the world and all parts of Korea wished for Peace and Unification of the Korean peninsula as they looked at the northern land.

Youths of multicultural families are watching the Peace Concert held at the World Jamboree Camping Site in Goseong, Gangwon-do on the evening of August 8.

On South Korea’s 70th Anniversary of its Liberation Day, FFWPU held the “Multicultural Youth Camp” in hopes for Korean reunification and peace at the “World Jamboree Camping Site” in Goseong-gun of Gangwon-do, the northern end of the eastern coast of South Korea, under the theme, “Let’s Become the Light of Peace and Unification.”

At the opening ceremony on August 7, FFWPU Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu delivered the opening address. He encouraged the participants by saying, “Please enjoy and get together in harmony, and unite through this camp, which practices the vision of peace and unification. If, by doing so, you can become a light and beacon of hope to save the friends around you who are wandering with no place to go, then, world citizens shall call you victors.”

On the morning of August 8, an event called “ROAD of Unification with Multicultural Youths” was held at the DMZ Museum in Goseong. The event was held in collaboration with “PEACE ROAD 2015,” the journey to establish a foundation for peaceful reunification and to promote international peace so that they could provide vision and hope for peace and unification to multicultural youths. President Ryu, Chairman of Citizen’s Federation for Unification Byung-Ho Son, Vice-Governor of Goseong Won-Suk Han and Chairman of Goseong County Council Hyung-Shil Kim provided support by participating in the event.

In the evening, a “Peace Concert” was held with performances by the “Sunhak Children’s Choir,” the band “Rebirth,” “Hyo Jin Moon Band,” College Students Team, Multicultural Youths team and professional artists such as Soo-Bin Kang and “4Men.”

On the afternoon of August 8, the participants of the Youths Virtual Unification Presentation Convention 2015 held at the World Jamboree Camping Site give presentations.

Prior to the concert, FFWPU International President Sun Jin Moon stated, “Practicing true love through nurturing a heart of deep gratitude and living for the sake of others is the key to overall harmony, unification and peace,” and emphasized, “If we can work as ‘One Family under God,’ we can change ourselves and even the world and leave a legacy of greater peace, love and prosperity to later generations.”

The multicultural youths raised their determination for unification through other various events including the “Prayer Ceremony for Reunification of South and North Korea,” “Invited Lecture of Young North Korean Defector,” “Youths Virtual Unification Presentation Convention,” “Youths Cultural Festival” and “Garden of Harmony.”..

World Multicultural Youth Camp Finished Successfully Prayer Ceremony for Korean Reunification, Peace Concert, etc., were held on the occasion of the 3rd Anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa and South Korea’s 70th Anniversary of Liberation 5,000 youths participated from around the world. FFWPU International President Sun Jin Moon emphasized, “Let’s become one family and leave a legacy of prosperity.”

The “World Multicultural Youth Camp” held over three days with the wish for peace and reunification in the Korean peninsula ended on August 9.

The camp was held by FFWPU on the occasion of the 3rd Anniversary of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa and the 70th Liberation Day of Korea from August 7-9 at the World Jamboree Camping Site in Goseong, Gangwon-do, and was attended by more than 5,000 multicultural youths from different countries throughout the world and all parts of Korea.

In this camp held under the theme, “Let’s Become the Light of Peace and Unification,” multicultural youths got to understand each other through camping, which requires unity and order, and experienced the will for Korean reunification through various programs such as the “Prayer Ceremony for Reunification of South and North Korea,” “Invited Lecture of Young North Korean Defector,” “Youths Virtual Unification Presentation Convention,” “Peace Concert,” “Youths Cultural Festival” and “Garden of Harmony.”

Prior to these events, on August 8, 300 representative youths took part in the “Unification ROAD with Multicultural Youths” held in collaboration with “PEACE ROAD 2015,” an ongoing journey to establish the FFWPU International foundation for peaceful unification of Korea, and to promote international President Sun Jin Moon peace, at the DMZ Museum located near the camping site.

FFWPU International President Sun Jin Moon took part in the Peace Concert and addressed the audience. “The key to peace, unification and harmony is the practice of true love through nurturing the heart of deep gratitude and living for the sake of others,” she said. Then she emphasized, “If we can set a model of ‘One Family under God,’ we can leave a legacy of greater peace, love and prosperity to later generation.” At the Peace Concert, the “Sunhak Children’s Choir,” the band “Rebirth,” the “Hyo Jin Moon Band,” Multicultural Youth Team, etc., gave their performances, and the audience took on added heat when

renowned guests such as Soo-Bin Kang and “4Men” appeared on stage.

FFWPU operates various cultural policies and support projects for multicultural families in Korea in order to practice Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s peace theory and his vision of “One Family under God.”
