FFWPU, Peace Road, Rev. Sun Myung Moon 1,000-Day Memorial Celebration

The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (hereafter referred to as the Family Federation) revealed on May 31 that on the afternoon of May 30 (local time), the World Launching Ceremony for the “Peace Road 2015,” in which people from all over the world who hope for unification of North and South Korea and world peace participated, was held at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) in Las Vegas.

The “Peace Road 2015” is a project dedicated toward resolving the racial, religious and national conflicts occurring in different regions of the world, and uniting the collective will of the people of the world for peace. The route begins from the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa and connects all the way to Santiago, Chile. The participants in each country will walk, ride bicycles, cars and other transport methods.

One thousand people attended the World Launching Ceremony where twenty young people on bicycles rode around the city of Las Vegas, starting off the world race.

On the same day, regional launching ceremonies in Santiago, Chile and the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa were held.

On this day, prior to the Peace Road launching ceremony, at the very same location, the Family Federation observed the 1,000-day mark since Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa.
