May the Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ blessings and love be with you all. Throughout their lives, the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind have worked to realize “One global family under God” that transcends barriers of race and nationality. Peace Road 2016 aims to testify about True Parents’ peace ideology and achievements all over the world. Please refer to the information stated below when hosting Peace Road in your respective regions and nations.
1. Title: PEACE ROAD 2016
2. Purpose and Objectives A. To widely testify about True Parents’ peace ideology and achievements, in particular their endeavors to realize the ideal of One Family under God that transcends all racial and national boundaries. B. To forge an active international peace network of parliamentarians from each nation and region through the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. C. To unify the hearts members worldwide channel it to become a driving force for the fulfillment of Vision 2020
3. Guidelines on hosting Peace Road 2016 A. PEACE ROAD 2016 must be hosted in conjunction (coordination) with the launching (or gathering to propose the founding of) the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace in each region. B. Each country is strongly encouraged to appoint current parliamentarians or government officials as members (or senior advisors) of the 2016 PEACE ROAD Preparatory Committee. The committee should actively promote the purpose and objectives of PEACE ROAD to leaders within the regions and nations. (Testifying about the great 120-nation journey that was Peace Road 2015 is strongly suggested). Each nation is strongly encouraged to host Peace Road 2016 in the parliament (or a public place or government office building). Once the regional-level event is completed, national level-events and local events should be held if possible.
4. Themes A. General Theme: Realizing the Dream of One Family under God!

B. Regional or National Themes: Each region (nation) is encouraged to have a supplementary theme (e.g.) Korea – Supporting the Call to Install the 5th UN Office in the Korean Peninsula (e.g.) Japan – Completing the Korea-Japan Peace Tunnel to Promote Peace in Northeast Asia (tentative) (e.g.) U.S.A. – Supporting the Realization of the Bering Strait Bridge (tunnel) to Promote World Peace (tentative) (e.g.) Israel – Supporting the Realization of Lasting Peace in the Middle East (tentative) ※ National themes should be selected in consultation with the regional headquarters
5. Hosting PEACE ROAD in each nation: A. Time: Each country must select the appropriate time in consultation with the regional headquarters. B. Venue: Parliament or government office building. (In the event a nation cannot host Peace Road either in the parliament complex or at a government office building, the event can be held in a public place) C. Main program: 1) Present the PEACE ROAD promotional video (A video file will be provided) 2) Congratulatory addresses (by national-level leaders such as parliamentarians, etc.) 3) Invite key leaders to sign the “Peace Road Banner” and take a group photo (E.g. Group photo with the banner “Supporting the call to install the 5th UN Office in Korea) 4) Exhibit PEACE ROAD photos in the event hall (promotional photos will be provided) 5) Host PEACE ROAD along the designated course (PEACE ROAD banners and bicycle flags will be provided) D. Riding along the PEACE ROAD course: Each country is strongly advised to ride along the designated course after the main event is completed. Furthermore, the selected course should run through or pass by famous spots or national landmarks. Flags and/or banners promoting Peace Road, world peace and so on should be used throughout the course. Each nation can decide whether to ride bicycles, march on foot, drive cars or use other means of transportation along the designated course.
6. Reporting Your Events A. Reporting regional plans for Peace Road Each regional headquarter should submit the Peace Road event plans for each participating nation using the attached file as well as the entire regional plan for PEACE ROAD also using the attached file by June 29, 2016 via e-mail to the PEACE ROAD organizing committee secretariat at: peaceroad2015@gmail.com Person-in-charge: Mr. Won Cheol Kim, Tel: 82-2-3279-4165

B. Report event results Each nation is requested to submit reports (written report, photos, videos if possible) using the attached file no later than three days after the event was held. The photos should include the launching ceremony, riding along the designated course and the welcome upon arrival. It is recommended to submit 15 photos (5 per category). Please submit all reports to the PEACE ROAD Organizing Committee secretariat at: peaceroad2015@gmail.com
