I Found Life of Faith Everywhere

2018-04-13 · Source: tparents.org

We thought that life of faith can only be discussed through bible study, worship services, religious retreats, workshops seminars or attending theological schools. However, I found some situations where I can connect and relate my life of faith in those manners. I would like to use 3 comparisons in this article:

1. Rubik Cube In 1993 when I was assigned as one of the HQ education staffs and my main responsibility was to give lecture and handle the National 7 days Divine Principle Workshop. Many times my co-worker in that department saw me spending my free time solving the Rubik cube and it took longer hours before I could solve it and most often times leave it unsolved. He said there is systematic way to solve it according to its designed formula. As I was observing him solving the puzzle step by step, every move was very important and right at that moment I realized the course of restoration is the same,

In solving the puzzle, the very first thing you need to determine is the CENTER. Without establishing first the central axis, there is no way to solve it because all moves must be in accord with its center point. The next thing to do is to solve the 1st layer that must be in uniformity of color and on the same place without which will greatly delay the process of solving it. The next step is to solve the 2nd layer with specific moves and the last part is solving the 3rd layer with specifically designed formula and if we are not yet an expert of this, a trial and error would occur.

Our life of faith in the course of restoration is very much similar. We need to establish first the very center of our life who is God & True Parents without which, nothing could happen and would never find its solution. The 3 layers correspond to the 3 stages where we need to pass through in orderly manner. Like the first layer, we need to be in conformity with others in relationships and adjust ourselves to the spiritual environment we are into so that going through restoration process would be a bit easier. However the 2nd layer is different from the 1st. We need to give off ourselves by taking responsibility to be able to succeed with our restoration following heavenly formulas. Solving the last part is more difficult than the first two points because it is going through a more serious path and faster pace of the restoration providence, we would consider many angles of our lives such as people we need to be our partners in the course, the environment, family status, career and others. Therefore taking into serious consideration all these matters, many unfavorable paths are unavoidable and those experiences would serves as lessons to learn from.

2. Riding a Bicycle As young as 6 years old, I started riding my bike with 2 supporting smaller wheels at the back and few months later my father removed the back-up wheels and guided me to bike on 2 wheels alone until I could do it by myself. But it wasn’t easy because before I learned cycling well enough, I experienced a lot of minor accidents and one of a serious case. It was in 2nd grade when I became very familiar already about the parts of my bike and how important each of them for my safety. I became well versed too in managing my cycling hobby.

I realized that life of faith has similarity with it. When you start pedaling you need to focus on your direction without looking anywhere. Developing confidence that the faith you hold onto is true and not being swayed off by any temptation is very impt quality of spiritual life. The stability of our life faith lies on focusing to God as our central axis. We may have problems with regard to other things like flat tire, loose break, rusted chained but accidents or problems can still be avoided if we hold on tightly and well focused. Once we have such strong connection to the vertical axis, all problems are but just easy to handle. Once we stop pedaling we will be unbalanced and if the wheels are flat it can’t go anywhere. Life of faith is the same, once we stop connecting immediately all kinds of

unfavorable situations will occur and if we can’t maintain that balance, we can never reach out goal.

Also in riding a bike we need to be in harmony with it and enjoy doing it. Similarly in the course of restoration, we need to be in harmony with our situation. We should enjoy our course and never complain along the way because only in that way we can be able to realize that that path is necessary before happiness to occur and for its value to be recognized….

3. The Patient and medical treatment I can relate to this point because I’m a regular hospital visitor…. The degree of seriousness of our disease will determine the degree of medicine dosage we need to cure our ailing bodies. Sometimes the dangerous case we faced the severe treatment is needed. Simple aches just need generic pills, cancerous stage needs high radiation solution while other cases need surgery or transplant operation. Therefore solution depends on what is needed.

Similarly our life of faith in the course of restoration has varying conditions depending on the level of restoration we had to fulfill so that we can fully recover our health status to its original state. For example, our fallen natures require simple overcoming only but violation of the principle requires serious indemnity condition. The span of time depends on how much we respond too to the required procedure of our healing process. Exactly the same, the time period of our restoration also depends on our attitude to take into action the things we need to accomplish within the time frame designed by heaven.

Therefore, in walking the path of faith we shouldn’t compare ourselves to anybody because even patients of the same case level have different medical treatment and procedure…. Our life of faith is very much the same, we may appear to be on the same category but only heaven knows what are we going through and what kind of indemnity life is required of us. The best thing to do is concentrate on the healing process and allows God who knows our case to give us clear directions.
