Ascension of Rachel Dunphy Carter
May 22, 2013
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Our dear Sister, Rachel Dunphy Carter ascended into the spiritual world on May 22nd at approximately 11:55 PM. She joined our church in England during the 1970’s and came to America to join her American husband, Greg Carter, after they were Blessed in Korea in 1982.
Rachel was a very bright student and thrived in her studies at UTS. After finishing her Degree there, she moved to Washington, DC with her fellow graduate, her husband, in the summer of 2000. She suffered with a long illness since 2006.
Although Rachel was known as a “tough” sister, she endured her illness with dignity and continued to take care of her family with so much love. She especially kept going for the sake of her young daughter, Enya, who is now 10 years old.
A Seunghwa ceremony will be held for Rachel Carter at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home and Cemetery in Washington, DC on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
