2016-07-15 · Source: tparents.org

Andrew Leland Carlson, 25, of Edgewater MD, the precious son of 2075 couple Eric and Lois Carlson, passed on to the spiritual world yesterday July 14th, 2016. Andrew was found unconscious in his parked car in Baltimore Thursday afternoon. The Carlson home in Edgewater will be open for visitors, well- wishers, prayers and fellowship the next three days from 7-9 PM each evening. Please feel free to come by, pray, visit, or wish the Carlsons well.

Andrew, the youngest of 3 children, was born in Washington D.C. on June 14, 1991. He was raised, went to high school and lived his whole life in Edgewater with the small community of Unifications families that live by the bay. Andrew was always an adventurous and bright person. In the last several years, he was most involved in a landscaping and tree removal business as an assistant and ground man with his best friend Trevor Boothby.

Andrew loved to serve and cook for his family. He enjoyed helping with home and garden upkeep. Despite a sunny and outgoing persona, Andrew struggled with deep emotional issues most of his life. Since high school, he had struggled with recurrent addiction issues that had spun out over a decade. His childlike enthusiasm and his deep and loving heart were the balance and counter weight to the more difficult side of his struggle. He was much loved by the Edgewater UC community and is already sorely missed. He’s survived by his parents and older siblings Anna and Stephen.
