200 or so couples gathered on the sidewalk of the main post office building opposite Madison Square Garden for a historic photo shoot in 90-degree weather.

The Williams couple was filmed preparing for the big day and explaining what it felt like to be guided into marriage and blessed by the Lord of the Second Advent. “The day itself was a very spiritually significant event, but the logistics were such that it became a very physical event,” joked John. “It was tiring,” said Cathy who was involved for several nights making 2,300 bridal veils for her fellow brides. The couple exchanged affectionate strokes of conversation in what any viewer would see as a warm portrait of their relationship. “This was going to be my honey, this was going to be honey, this was going to be my knight in shining armor, but that wasn’t my first thought, which was, Oh – I’m math and science, he’s artistic,” said Cathy Williams recalling her matching experience.
