Dear Family,

Things are beginning to settle down again in Headquarters after many blessed days with our Leader and his party. Miss Kim is in Europe pre sently with our Leade r for the blessing of couples. The wedding will take place on March 28 in Essen, Germany. We’ll send a congratulatory telegram to themfrom you - the American Family. I’m sure all of you are extremely busy in doing the Father’s work, as are the members here.

In orde r for couples to be blessed in America, certain conditions had to be met by them and all members. One of these conditions is a pa yment of $30 Indemnity Fund within forty days after the blessing. This payment was explained more fully in Washington. In addition to the $30 within forty days, another $30 is required per year for three years following. The total payment is $120 for all four years.

Our Leader explained that money came to matter at Jesus’ crucifixion. For thirty pieces of silver Jesus was sold. At his death his blo·od was shed·, his garments torn into pieces, and his body scattered to the whole world, or to “the four corners of the earth.” Thus 4 (directions) x 30 (pieces of silver) = 120. This number is significant in restoration. It here represents not only the evil act of Judas, but the whole Satanic world . We have the collective responsibility for having put Jesus to death. We must repay this debt in actual money, $120 over a period of four years, or $30 a year. This is the pa yment for the blood shed by Jesus. It is not a contribution or offering or donation. While you may pay for this with money you already have, you should earn $30 in the future which is not easily obtained. Don’t pay with money which is easily obtained, but money which you earn. with blood, sweat, and tears. Th.is is called the Indemnity Fund.

The payment of Indemnity Fund in Korea was $30 also. The payment of this fund is not restricted to yearly payments. If you wish you may pay it all at one time. It is a condition to be fulfilled within forty days after the wedding. April’~, 1969, is the fortieth day.

Our Leader ha.s requested that the monies received for this fund be kept in an account in America for projects he is planning in the future. Please make your checks or money orders payable to HSA-UWC, but specify that they are for the Indemnity Fund.
